Gen 1/2 Headlight Lenses Coming soon. Plastic Injected Molded OEM quality Headlight Lenses

I am just reading this now in May and noticed that the post was on April Fools Day. This seems like quite an elaborate hoax, so I will assume that it is true :) Great news for all of us Gen II owners!

    Gen. 2 Head gasket time

Wow, very interesting. This is the first I'm seeing any smoke, as I've owned it since 2006 and added about 20k miles on it for a total of around 30k.

    Gen. 2 Head gasket time

After a nice winter slumber in the garage, I'm back at it. Hydrocarbon strips are negative, and the current suspicion is leaky valve stem seal(s). Greyish smoke is fairly minimal, and does go away after about 3-5 min. of idling, and doesn't return while driving. After sitting for a while it will...

I've just ordered some hydrocarbon test strips. Thanks for the advice.

    Gen. 2 Head gasket time

Correct, billet power steering pulley (fixed) and bracket. I was also looking at the billet water pump impeller, and belt tensioner pulleys. I haven't noticed a loss of coolant yet, but I haven't really run the engine much since I first saw the smoke. I'll look into a leakdown test, and at...

    Gen. 2 Head gasket time

I have a 2001 GTS with about 30k miles. A few weeks ago I noticed fair amount of smoke primarily coming out of passenger side exhaust pipe. I'm also now seeing some "s t e a m y" grey/white smoke coming out of the passenger side of the hood. I say "s t e a m y" because it's not thick white...

OEM Sway Bar End Link Rebuild (w/ Pics)

I just did this same rear sway bar end link replacement over the weekend using the new Moog parts, but on a Gen. II ACR. The nuts provided with the Moog links were quite a bit different than the originals, and seemed very difficult to turn, perhaps because of the black paint on the new link...

    Front Shock Options

While I'm not sure what damper you would have installed on that particular Gen III model, I saw some discussion about Dynamics. If that's what you need rebuilt, I had my 2001 ACR Dynamics dampers rebuilt by: Ryan Howell Carl A. Haas Automobile Imports, Inc. 500 Tower Parkway Lincolnshire, IL...

    Dave's Big Brake Upgrade

I was probably one of the last people to buy the kit from Dave before he passed. Fantastic person. Similar kits are available here if you haven't already located one. Viper Parts Depot - Big Brake Caliper upgrade. I can probably answer any questions you might have about performing this upgrade.

Help Me ID a 2001 ACR

I believe a 2001 should have blue and gold Dynamics shocks with a resevoire on the side with 2 adjustment knobs, as well as adjustable height. I think only the 2000 model years switched over from Koni to Dynamics in the middle of the production year. I think all 99's had Koni.

    Daves Big Brake Kit

I'll be happy to send you pics of mine as well. There are a couple of areas where you can freelance, particularly with routing of ebrake cable, wheel speed sensors wires, and position of zip ties holding each of these, as well as the new stainless brake lines. PM me as well with any questions.

    Track Day Insurance Coverage

Thanks for all the replies. I've been in contact with Steve and will most likely use him to insure the car, but I'm still a little concerned about the liability aspect which Steve doesn't handle.

    Track Day Insurance Coverage

During a recent review of my insurance policies I've found out that my carrier, State Farm, has no policy of any kind that will cover my vehicle, or me personally from a liability perspective if I am on a track at a "driving school" such as Viper Days.:dunno: Anyone have any recommendations...

    Gas Pedal fell off!

Must be the Michigan roads :rolaugh:. I had the same thing happen a year or two ago. I took a look at the same pieces you mentioned, then stuffed them in the "glove box" rather than spend 45min upside down in the foot well. I find the metal bar left behind allows for much better pedal feel so I...

    REV for iphone

I've now tried the device with 3 cars, my Viper and 2 BMWs, same result. I've also re-downloaded the software on my phone and tried the lite version on a friend's phone as well and same result. Time for a phone call. Maybe something's messed up on the PLX Wifi device even though it links up fine.

    REV for iphone

I'm assuming that since this is posted in the Gen I and II section that this is the vehicle you are using it with. I just installed the PLX Kiwi in my 2001 GTS and the only reading that I'm able to get is the voltage, with a green checkbox next to it. All other readings in the OBD Metrics...

Calling on the Viper Family ... Send Big Brake Dave a get well soon card !

Dave was in the middle of packing up my big brake order when he had to go into the hospital. He called me from his hospital bed explaining the situation and the delay and that I'd get all my parts ASAP. Dave went the extra mile even in those tough circumstances to make sure I got everything I...

    big brakes with stock wheels?

If you're referring specifically to Dave's Big Brake kits, you'd have 2 options: Dave's Viper Shop DVS-002 or DVS-002A of course either of those would also require DVS-004 and DVS-005 You'd also be on the hook for the calipers and rotors required for the kit you chose, as well as...
