    ‘08 ACR Options

Speedman, they were not a factory option in the US. (Same is true on the G2 ACR's) All the wiring is there, the only delete is the fog lights themselves so you can take out the blocking plate and plug in the OEM lights. If your looking at one for sale then a prior owner did the install. Lat...

Wanted - Gen 1 Hard Windows

JK, I have a buddy here that has a RED autoform hardtop he'd sell, probably take $1500-$2000 His '93 burned in a house fire, the top is fine but the windows were lost (in the trunk). Not easy to ship and you'd have to go to Autoform for new windows. If interested, send me a personal...

Battery tender and mounting it inside engine bay

Killer, great work! My Deltran's all came with eyelets too, never thought about putting them on the Jump post and the ground post. (that's how I do my Comp Coupe but that battery is on the passenger floor). I'll have to see if the Deltran's fit, and if so make the switch down the road. Best...

    Smog Time again

1975 model year or older is exempt. You either learn to deal with it or get your car registered out of state. If you car runs good, it will pass. My '94 RT/10 has headers, cat back, K&N and passes every 2 years. Only issue I have is having to keep the RPM's in a 50 RPM band for 15 seconds...

    Soft top in trunk

4banger, I've probably just been around vipers longer than you, probably lots longer, I admired them for many years and bought my 1st in 1996.

Battery tender and mounting it inside engine bay

KillerViper, I've used a Deltan on all my Vipers (G1, G2, G3, G4 and my Comp Coupe). The 1's & 2's are set up the same way, 3's-4's same way too. On a G1 or G2, put the positive on the Jump Post under the hood. My G2 is gone but on my G1 I use a bolt for the Negative that sits up on the...

    Soft top in trunk

To add some deqatils to the post above, "PLUS the oem bag has the nifty latch covers built in so they don't rip through the canvas." Yeah if its a Gen 2 bag, the Generation 1 bags don't have those latch (Rear Pin) covers!

After almost 28 years, my 1993 RT/10 has left the building

Meljr, great post and story, I'm sure you had to be saddened trading your Viper in! 25 years ago I used to call on Martin Swanty when I worked for Chrysler financial. Ran into a local to you dealer this past weekend at the national dealer convention in Vegas and he told me Martin is alive an...

    Soft top in trunk

The rear PINS are death to the canvas. if you don't fold it correctly (and better still wrap in a micro fiber towel or something) its real easy for those rear bayonet pins to puncture the canvas.
