Well, I'm back. :D

Happy new year for all and excuse me for the long time to wait about news.

This 2009 year, I have a lot of problems with my health (loose one of my leg but she's right now) and can't work totaly on the models...

so, to keep the training, I do some "light" models and here, I find time to show you and understand what happened in time...( the Viper's are special for me to made them...)

(only 1/18)

I started two models, a BMW 850 csi and a Maserati Quattroporte, just change the colors...

before:

after:

color: Italian red TS-8 Tamiya, seats XF-78 wooden teck Tamiya, grey aluminium for the set of wheels, engine detailed (soft)

The Maserati Quattroprte (first gen)

new color: body in pearl white TS-45 Tamiya, seats in PS-2 red and varnish TS-80 flat clear (like some leather in finish) and mat black TS-6 and semi-gloss black TS-29. A fine layer of metalic grey whithout varnish (TS-42) on the set of wheels...

During 3 months, I made a Gallardo CS Concept white in chrome yellow and a Gallardo Superleggera in SE version...

the CS before:

and after:

About the SE:

I cut the rear spoiler for a short one, change the set of wheels for some Spider version and polished the side decals "Superleggera"

I painted the top in semi-gloss black and the side of the rear trunk, the wheels in gloss black with a layer of dark grey metalic, all without varnish and put some new Lambo decals in the center...

I change the 2 seats for some Spider version (without racing belts) and a part of the dashboard

And to look like the real SE, I cut the side of the body in down (side wings?) and sprayed the cutting in mat black

When I repainted the CS Concept in yellow and cut the second Estoque, my new idea will be not made quickly, time to see all the futur problems...

In first, side by side the two bodys to know if it's possible to have a good result...

And it's OK, I cut the side of the CS and the hood of the Estoque... :dunno:

Excellent work le66...

I spent a few days and made a replica of my car last summer. I thought I did a pretty good job, but your work is so much better!

http://forums.viperclub.org/merchan...-apparel-miniatures/627428-my-car-1-18-a.html

I'm saving this tread for future reference!

:headbang:

Hi Wolfc2e,

I just saw your GTS link and can said you it's a difficult job to paint the strippes, you have the experience now !!

So your work is realy correct because not easy !!! :dunno:

The GTS Maïsto isn't my favorite, but she have a lot of nice details than Burago version, so this one have a lot of defect metal or bad (but soft) molding and must work on these Burago 30 hours to have a correct body before paint...

A example with a black GTS of one VCA member...

before and during the work...

2 month was necessary to have this result, I don't know exactely how many hours to do the work but I want to have a perfect car, or better than I can do it...

For instance, another VCA member wait than 2 years his GTS (McCarlin) and starded it... This is an ACR GTS but I must stopped my progress (I was in hospital and not in my house to work on it).

Today, I can work on it but all the Viper are so special to work on them, spacialy Burago, and this GTS requires concentration and patience, I must wait a better moment to work on it...

The Lamborghini"s are only a training for the futur work on the Viper's... ;)

Thanks a lot Eucharistos :2tu:

When we have the Viper Spirit, the life problems was minnor, just a question of time to find and made some scale models for me...

So, when the Lamborghini and 2 or 3 american cars (Camaro 70, Chevy Nova...) will be right, I re-started the work on the Viper's.

Next about the Salt lake Gallardo... :D

I cut the body (-13mm) and finished the doors with the windows... (this project must wait for instance, time to find some specific parts)

le66,

You are truly an amazing artist. After reading all of the pages on this topic, I have decided to make a red and black Burago. Thank you for taking all of the photos and for describing every step. You have given me a lot of good ideas for my next try.

I'm sorry to hear about your health, but I am glad you are back at your house and able to do what you love!

Thank you for the inspiration!

- Mark

Thanks Mark ;)

Not a problem, sometimes I must be carrefull about my health but she's right now.

If you start a new GTS Burago and want some informations, details to built it, if I can help you... welcome on board !! :2tu:

To start your project, take a GTS Burago "first gen" like this one:

You must be registered for see images

The last GTS gen Burago have all the strippes painted on the bodys (2008/2009 product) and you cannot repport the emblem of the Snake in front and rear (3trd stop light for us...) on your new body and paint...

If possible for you, you choise will be a red one, with white strippes...

When you cut carrefully the enblem snake you can put it again on your new paint, it's better for final result... like this:

The blue became a bright red and clear grey strippes (in high on the picture) and repainted another one in Italian red (more red than the bright), with larges strippes (10mm for he first, 11mm for the second)

As you want for your new GTS :headbang:

Mark, I found the first gen Burago GTS (in right), if you remove one in paint, choose this one only for one reason:

you can put again the two Snake emblem in front and rear (decalsheet), like the red GTS in up...

You must be registered for see images

The last gen GTS Burago (in left) have the strippes painted directely on the body and you loose the emblems with them when you will re-paint the body...

Chris,

If modelfactory's ever find out you are this great in rebuilding there should be a job for you.
Remember the Competition Coupe rebuild (decalmaking and fitting), it was done by a modelmaker in order from AutoArt.....

You are truly amazing!
Hope to ever have a Le66 Viper in my collection.

I hope to finish all these models for the end of this year...

About Viper, always the McCarlin GTS is in, (VCA owner) I dismount a SRT-10 Coupe Auto-Art just to know what I can do with it, and bought recentely a ACR Burago 1/24, a funny model :D

So I think I will start some Viper's in 2011... or around the Christmas date of this year... :dunno:

If you want some details about there models, I try to answer you as I can...

;) Chris.

Chris,

Wow, nice to read the good news about the new job! Congratulations.
Hope your health is OK too!

The new projects are great! Just can't understand why you are "practising"? You are a true artist with the dremel and weldingmachine.
But.... time is as always limited, only sooooo little time and sooooo much to do!

I keep hoping to make a project together with you someday!
