I have wanted one for a while, but it just never worked out....it was worth the wait.

I picked up CarDude's 2008 Viper ACR Orange, dual black stripes

I drove it with a co-pilot from Austin back to the bay area 1800 miles in 3 days.

It was at track height and track suspension settings...it rode great, except on the terrible I5 corridor from Bakersfield to the Bay Area..man that road sux! :(

But all is well that ends well.

Car is a beast...love it. It demands the utmost attention when driving though.

We hit a really bad thunderstorm in texas and had to pull over on the highway for 20-30 mins. But, we made it through.

Looks like a couple of kids are glad Dad's back home!

Welcome back... I'm just across the bay from you. I'm amazed you drove that far on the track setup... is the car running PS2s?

Welcome! Great choice in Viper. You should check out the Nor Cal Viper Club. We have a great group of members and go on some great events. I know its a little short notice but this coming Saturday (6/18) we have a run to the USS Hornet in Alameda. You can check the Nor Cal section of these forums for events, but the most current listing is on norcalviperclub.org There is also a run on Saturday the 25th and another on Saturday July 16th. Our next official club meeting is on Tuesday August 2nd in Santa Clara.

I have a quick question for you if you don't mind. I either can't find or didn't receive the spanner wrench and whatever tools come with the acr. Do you where they would be?

I would love to check it out. I'm not sure I can make it this sat, but if not another event would be great. I owe my wife some downtime this weekend. The minute I left to get the viper she got sick and still is..and is pregnant right now. So she was nice enough to let me get a big toy and drive it halfway across the country so I OWE her big time this weekend! :) Thanks for the invite though!

Fine looking ride sir and some good looking boys. I bet they are digging it as much as you are! :)

I remember my 10 year old boy seeing my Viper for the very first time. He asked, "Can I see the engine?" I knew right then I would never have to wonder if he was *** or not. :D Not that there is anything wrong with that. ;)

it's a long story. it's a california car. it will be registered in calif soon. it actually has texas registration stickers on it, an ohio temp tag, ohio temp registration and a calif temporary registration. But, I'm located in calif and so is it. :)

If I'm not mistaken, Cardude, wasn't this his car that was featured on that show, Battle of the Supercars? It sounds very familiar! In any event, beautiful ACR bro, you are in for many amazing drives in the future. Great car with a great reputation!
