Put my 2004 SRT-10 on the dyno yesterday, mostly just to make sure the tune was good because I bought it with all the mods on it. It's running quite a bit rich but I still think the numbers are low.

Mods are:

Belanger Headers, high flow cats, and cat back
Roe VEC3
Ported heads
Comp Cam
Swinging oil pan pickup
Forged lower comp. internals

The previous owner said 510/550 at the wheels and the owner of this dyno said his is usually 10% less than most dynos, so that would put me around 508/528 with the current tune which is about right.

The car was built for a supercharger in mind, but my question is if I don't want to go forced induction where do I go next for mods? Or, with it being built for a supercharger, how much of an improvement do you think a blower would give me at the current setup?

You lost me little bit in the numbers. If the old owner said 510/550, that would put you around 459/495, which is exactly where you are.

I'm assuming your new dyno guy said he's sometimes 10% lower because he's running a Mustang and assuming the previous numbers came from a Dynojet.

Dyno numbers are tough to compare (due to a TON of variables), but yes, I would think you'd be higher than you are. I would expect something close to your numbers with exhaust and a tune on a Mustang. The oil pan and forged bottom end aren't adding anything to your power. If the car was built with lower compression pistons to be used with a lot of boost later, it would actually make you lose power. The head work (assuming it was done correctly) and the cam, should be adding some good power after being tuned correctly.

I went 1.1x my actual numbers whereas you went .9x the projected numbers that's where the diff is.

I'm gonna have to send my chart to Sean at Roe and see if a new tune would get me that missing power.

It all depends on your end goals....weekend ride, drag racing, road racing? You have most "basic" bolt-ons. Time to capitalize on your forged bottom end with the following options 1) Huge Shot of Nitrous, or 2) Boost, and lots of it

Since you have a very stout forged engine, a properly built Paxton with fuel upgrades will double your current peak horsepower. Roe Racing has twin turbo options that can net you over 1000 whp.

I think you can lean out the AFR to 13 +/-. With the low compression in your engine, don't expect big numbers. I was on the dyno with Keith when that Viper put down 510/550 RWHP/RWTQ. Sean is the one that tuned Keith's old Viper so he should be able to tell you what your VEC is doing now and be able to dial it in for you. Your engine was setup to take advantage of boost. I say go for it. When Keith did this build, Sean didn't have the turbo package. See what Sean says about putting his turbo package on your Viper. I think it'd be sick.

i wasnt impressed with this build when it was done. less now. these are gen2 type of numbers.

get a compression AND leakdown done to know its solid, then talk about boost :)
