Thinking about selling my 08 coupe. Black/white stripes, light arc panels, Nav with Sirius radio, razor wheels. Original sticker was $95060. No mods ever. No track use. Never even dropped the clutch, EVER. Extended Mopar warranty for about 2.5 more years. Condition is MINT! I have a friend interested in buying it. What is a realistic selling price?

6182 miles. First senior citizen owner had it 9 months and never went over 100 mph. 2nd senior citizen owner (me) has had it since.

So are you saying you don't agree with v10enomous' pricing? I never understand why people come here and ask for what they should sell their car for as they never agree (people always value their car for more than what it's worth). Your best bet is to look at AutoTrader, Cars.com, eBay, etc. and see what '08s with similar miles are selling for.
I didn't disagree. I just pointed out what KBB says it's worth. On your other point, you can't see what they are selling for. You can only see what the asking prices are.

On ebay, you can search the "sold" listings to show what they went for. KBB is usually off.

LOL, $57k. come on... Call any wholesaler (Chicago motor cars, exotic-midwest,, etc). I bet you they will pay that TODAY, wired, sight unseen. And you'll see it on their site the next week with fancy pictures for $69.9k.

gofast, a fair price on this car would be $64-65k with the warranty counting for at least $1k-1,500 of that. that seems to be the magic number for these cars, and has been for some time (assuming good color combo (which is a HUGE part), under 8k miles, all original paint, good meat on tires, etc, etc).

any low mileage Gen IV priced below $63-65k has some issue. (miles, prior paintwork, but mainly, many are the wrong color (yes, I see the one in the classifieds for $63. wrong color)

You may get more if you are in no rush... While your car looks awesome a lot of people won't buy a black car and some won't buy anything else but the latter is the minority so it limits your prospects. If it was 1 owner from a dealer with a warranty then $65k.

I agree with the others. I'd be comfortable paying low to mid 60s for an '08 with that low of mileage, but it's not the right color for me. Blue or SSG would sell for 65k easily.

Listen to this man, he is correct and knows Viper values like few others.

good luck with your sale. I've got my solid red coupe for sale with similar miles at $63,900 and not many buyers now. If you friend likes the car, I would say mid $65k is fair to both of you, but many of the '08s I've been watching on Ebay/Autotrader, etc don't seem to be moving. I could definitely sell the car now if I NEEDED to, but I can wait until Spring. I'm more motivated to find a more 'rare' Viper, either Gen 2 or 4 (ACR, stripes, low miles). If I found a sweet car to trade w/ a dealer - I would/will. If not, will just sell whenever I do then be a cash buyer...

Just read Taximan's post and I agree. He is referring to my car in the classifieds. My car is AWESOME! Perfect shape but solid red is not for everyone. If someone out there loves red, this is their car. If mine doesn't sell soon, I've talked with Prefix and solid white stripes will be $3k-3,500 and I may also do aero pkg for $6,500. That would cost me a LOT less than trading my car for 2 others I've seen (red/silver aero coupe for $79k and green/silver for $84k). No way I would trade my car and $15-19k when I could just pay $3-10k and have a very rare/unique set up. My car has low miles, no stories and runs perfect. Again, good luck = I like your color combo - it will sell.

$65k is a fair price for one that clean.

The funny part is that when you sell l the car people never want to pay kbb prices. But yet they always point out what their car is worth. Just speaking from experience.....

So, if people think a low mile '08 coupe is worth $58k, what do they think a low mile '06 coupe is worth, $50k? thats a LOT of car right there. 06-10 z06s are still priced in the mid to upper $50s...

This guy is dead on. Black is generally a tougher sell as the pool of buyers wanting that color on a Viper is definitely smaller, but 08's in great condition with low miles are generally selling in the mid-$60's. they have been holding their value well the past couple years... Good luck on the sale of your car!

The one at Chicago motors sold for $61k OTD and delivered. I don't think anyone selling on their own would get much more.

If I was a buyer I would be looking to pay 60-65 for that car today.
If I was selling I would consider any serious offer over 60 and jump on anything 65 or above.
I would not expect 70 and would think the car would sit at that price.

I had my Red '09 Coupe shipped to Prefix when she had 800 miles on it and had white stripes and an aero package installed. This was a car with Viper history (a Devin car shipped to the Nurburgring to set base lap times, though it never did get on the track). Seemed most folks here thought the Prefix work devalued the car.

I just bought an 08, met red vert no stripes, Razor wheels, Nav, with 20K on the clock for 64K.

I know some color combo's are more desirable, and if you have someone already interested in it. If offering it to a friend, looking at what people are asking for all current models all over the web; I'd think that 65K would be nice, and if he's a good friend 62.5K. Granted I am just another schmuck on the web that you don't know.

yup. I think a clean 06 gen 3 coupe with around 20k miles on it would be worth 47.5-50k depending on condition, color, etc.

and 06-10 c6 z's are no where near the mid to upper 50s, thats a dream. I've seen higher mileage examples ('06 with 50k miles) go for 35k and lower mileage 06-07s can be had for 38-42k all day. 09s and 10s bring more but still hover around 50k.

Not sure on the coupes, but black with white stripes verts are a rare combo. Just sayin :D

Black Coupes with factory white stripes are super rare. It's a classic color combo, but only 9 built in Gen 4! Of those, I'm sure a few of them have been crashed, have high miles, or have swirl marks, etc. Besides this one, I think I have the only other black/white Gen 4 in mint condition.

But unfortunately rare does not always mean desireable. I love my black car, but work hard to maintain it, and don't know if I'd buy another.

Absolutely not intending to hijack this thread...but as long as we are talking, I have a 2008 Viper 'vert, 9000 mi., venom red, no stripe, two-tone interior, NAV, Razor wheels, original tires but lots of tread, tonneau cover, OEM Mopar car cover with bag, like new except for a very small road rash spot on one wheel. What might this be worth to a willing buyer? Not saying it is for sale but it could be. Thanks, Mike
