Hey everyone, thanks for accepting me into the forum. My name is Kenny and I am 44 and reside in Fort Myers Fla. A decade ago I had a client with a Gen 1 and Gen 2 Viper. I got to drive the '02 red/white GTS frequently as we had installed some moderate stereo equipment and radar detector in it. We obtained usage for car shows, events, cruises and even our TV commercial so I adopted it as "mine" and fell in love.

At that time I was driving a silver '95 SHO Taurus and really never thought about the expense and ownership of a Viper as a reality. In 2005 I got a silver 2004 Mercury Marauder with low miles and owned it for six years until selling it to buy a house. I regret that decision! I was a member of TWO owner forums hence the username "badmerc" which was also the vanity plate on the car (BAD MERC). I joked that the Marauder was midlife crisis 1 and after I sold it I bought midlife crisis 2; a sweet silver Suzuki Boulevard M109R. If's gonna be fast - it has to be silver.

Long story short - in February of 2013 I was involved in an accident on the Suzuki that should have taken my life. I was rear ended at a red light, thrown into the intersection with both halves of the bike and ceremoniously driven over by a the Toyota 4Runner that caused it.

The days of riding are over as I am psychologically unable to enjoy it and the thought of hitting asphalt again is terrifying.
For the longest time I drooled over the Challenger SRT8 and thought of getting one and installing the Edelbrock E-Force kit to make a monster. But I wanted a convertible.

So, I am actively looking for midlife crisis 3; a Gen3 or Gen4 roadster and would like to see it in person for intense scrutiny before purchase. The subtle differences between 3 and 4's aren't enough to sway me either way. But it MUST be silver. I would prefer the '06 up but if I have to I can replace the crossover exhaust of the previous generation. As much as I have learned I am still not sure what years I can get silver. I don't want stripes or a Mamba edition. I am a serious buyer and not a tire kicker.

I look forward to ownership and getting to know other members. I would love to contribute to the forums but for awhile I will listen and learn before I start chirping.

In December 2012 I was out with my girlfriend on the Suzuki and jokingly (hahaha?) saw this and parked the two together. What a premonition this turned out to be. My mom laughs at me because once I find something I really want, I won't shut the hell up until it comes to fruition.

I think the most plain silver verts were 2003-2005 models.

Probably not too many gen III cars out there that still have that stupid exhaust crossover on them.

....Doesn't somebody here have a silver vert for sale on another thread?
Mopar Steve, I think..........?

I have about 90 days before I can layout the money. I am looking actively and keeping some things into consideration when I buy. As far as doing it now - I must wait. It's not an if, it's a when.
