Maicol, etc, I surely didn't mean to sound glib if you will. I have no idea where the "latch info" came from but I assure you I never touched Jays latches, male or female. I pulled frames for over 30 years before Jays small job. I used the best guy I could find, even if he was 150 miles...- Double Venom

ViperJames, just get your self a good set of doors, a hardtop (Optional) and one old and one new set of door weatherstrips and go at it. The best part about it is NOTHING is modified or changed except the weather stripping which can be easily changed back to OEM if needed someday.- Double Venom

For what it is worth- the latches fit perfectly, after the frame was re-tweaked- darn these guys were good, I never had to adjust the door hinges, not the latches, male or female! Windshield surround, now that was a different story, about five or six times I think. Need a Viper surround...- Double Venom

-Just For the record; Dupont "Chroma Premiar" 2K Primer 324303-Three coats- dry sanded/blocked with 120- grit dry, wet sanded with 600 W/D "Chroma Prem" Dupont sealer -medium gray #42440S- One coat Wet sanded with 600 W/D after 24 hrs dry time. Front and rear Fascia- one coat of "Bulldoog"...- Double Venom

Re: Stripe masked on hood The way it is shown for Jays stripes is the way I do all my stripes. Best way to get rid of edge lines too without having to just pour on the clear! The only time I will paint stripes last is if the owner brings me a car and 'then' wants to have stripes on his car...- Double Venom

If I find I have dug a little deep with the 600 I will go to 800 and hit it again. I had more than one painter in my shop that went all the way to 1200 in...- Double Venom

Re: Stripe masked on hood dansauto, please take no offense, for most of my 30 plus years of painting I have never had a booth. Second, to make sure all this is right I do NOT spray 3 coats of clear on anything! Your standard two coats is fine and plenty. Your comments about a dirty paint booth...- Double Venom

2 Venomous; Got me fella! I had no idea that Dupont did that test, but knew they did test it/them some how. A long way away from the original days of IMRON when Dupont said-tounge in cheek mind you,- " yah-you should wear some kind of mask!" Don't mind about it permeating the skin, eye...- Double Venom

Just sent Jay another note Sir; Your point about the mask is right on! I do change masks, not filters but the entire mask after every paint job and I mean between the color and the clears! When a guy shoots any amount of isocyanates, paint, solvents etc., he not only should use a current NIOSH...- Double Venom
