I agree with using APR - speak to Peter. I have a 2003. I had him do the Satin finish on the dashboard and console, but chose flat for the dash enclosure (in order to cut down on glare). It turned out great, and doesn't have the "stick-on" look. If you are interested, I can send you pictures...
Hi Aaron - I too loved the Twist of the Wrist books (although extremely technical). 6 years ago I transitioned from track days on my 2002 MV to my, now, 2003 Viper. As you can see, there is a little crossover, but very different.
A simple book I like (and pretty much covers everything) is Bob...
Peter, I know we spoke already, but Peter Chung at APR Performance has always treated me fairly, I have found their work to be excellent, as well as customer service. In your case, I believe you purchased the product through a 3rd party ..... not through the vender directly (where you could...
Hi Peter - I am sure you are dealing with Peter Chung. He is a great guy. Their product is proven ... a lot of drift and high speed applications. I have had their stuff for on for several years ... very durable. My car is the 2003 all black on their website.
I have the APR Splitter, Canards, Wing and side splitter. i have done several Silver States (avg 150 .... high speed 165 for 20 minutes) and many track sessions. If you would like to talk and see pics please email me [email protected]
Hi Sho off - Have you considered trading out the T56 with a Gen IV transmission. I lost my transmission (in my 03 recently) and am doing the upgrade. If you want to talk, I would be glad to share my knowledge (although limited).
If I am not mistaken, I think the Gen III will need new headers to work with the Gen IV kit. If so, you need to factor the cost of this in with the kit. Also, depending on the header system you choose, you may only have room to run one cat or need a high-performance one.
Lance - thanks for sharing the Car Control clinic, which I think is mandatory for all clubs to help learn the Viper. We try to have it annually and it is always the most attended event. Last year I had one of my sons drive in it. I can't urge the local Presidents enough to put on one of these...
Hey Scott - Call Dan at DC Performance. I have had both doors done on my 2003. One was on the extended warranty .... the other, unfortunately not. He might be able to do it at Dyno Days on the 14th.
Hi Scott - I would recommend you call Dan Cragen at DC Performance (310) 841-6996. He is the one of the top 3 most knowledgeable about Vipers. However from my experience (I have been tracking a few times each year since 2003):
BRAKING: Very important (you can better your times at the track...
