How fast have you driven your Gen IV?
190...ish ....or did I??? Slowed early because of RACE traffic. I do not know what kind of falling on its face you are talking about. What car doesn't slow in acceleration when you are getting close to its estimated top speed?- Fast1

List of Dodge Dealers to be closed
It seems almost fitting for the dealership I bought my 06 and 08 viper from. Performance Dodge in Phoenix, AZ really hosed me on my 06 trade and sale for my 08. Gen 4 engine upgrade for Gen 3?
Yeah, I think the KIT includes new piston return springs and reverse chrome muffler bearings!!!!!! Seriously now, a kit to upgrade the GEN 3 motor would have an instruction list like this...... 1. Disconnect battery 2. Remove GEN 3 motor and wiring harness 3. Install supplied GEN 4...- Fast1

why no top speed runs for 08 viper?
I heard that it was very stable at speed. Felt like 120 with a bit more wind noise. It was actually smoother than the ride in the '06. Although the trip was shorter, I think the suspension and tire changes for '08 help to smooth it out at speed. I wonder if the hood revision makes any more...- Fast1

why no top speed runs for 08 viper?
I heard of a guy running 190 on the way to SEMA and he said that at 190 it was still pulling hard, but was coming up on traffic so had to back out of it. There are just so few of places to accomplish the task. It does take some real estate to do so. He also said that it did take a lot less...- Fast1

How does the +90 hp with PCM upgrade and Belanger exhaust relate to the theory that the 8.4 is maxed out at 600 hp and any performance modifications need a piston swap? I have heard that the pistons are the weak link. My opinion is that horsepower does not affect the pistons as much in...- Fast1

My knob is getting sticking
I always thought that the SHAFT was supposed to be installed into the BUSHing and that LUBE was optional as the BUSHing was supposed to be self lubricating if installed correctly. Oh yeah not only was it stroked, it was also blown..........just don't use the **** injected ones you may catch...- Fast1

2008 Double clutch reliability ?
I haven't had any problems with my clutch, however I do know a few people that have had dual disc clutches that have warned me against trying to get "smooth" engagement. Some people will try for a smooth shift and end up slipping the clutch on every shift through casual driving. Like most...- Fast1

Those people should be strung up by their balls !!!!!!! I have to add to the others that those wheels rock. I have a black on red '08 coupe that I was debating between a dark charcoal, gloss black, or flat black. I think I am going with the flat black w/ red SRT letters now. Nice...- Fast1

How can it work if only applied to the headlights ? The other 99% of the car will still be detected. If it does work I think the military spent too much money on the stealth.....all they had to do was apply this to the canopy windshield !!!!- Fast1

Motor Trend "MT Confidential"
The web site states 40/45 mpg for 2007 and 33/41 mpg for 2008. They changed testing procedures for '08 and it dropped the mpg. This is closer to what the newspaper reported here in Phoenix. That is still way off from a great mpg. I think my parents Geo Metro from the early 90's got better...- Fast1
