Gen 5 Venom Wheels on Gen 2?

You ran the spacers with the Venom for the look or because you needed to clear the brakes? I would assume it is for the look because the Venom clear the Gen V brakes so you should be fine on the Gen 2 with a BB kit. I am curious because the prevailing info I seem to have found is that the...

    Any interest in OE Michelin's for Gen 1 and 2 (17 & 18in)?

+1 on the BFG Rival S. They just revamped the compound for the 2016 tire. They are available in the 335/30R18 tire. The 275 front is easier to find. The BFG are street tires.

Gen 5 Venom Wheels on Gen 2?

Not trying to defend anyone... they are on their own because I don't know the apparent history one way or the other.... Having said that what you mentioned is not totally true. There is more to it than the wheel diameter. The sidewall height comes into play, the tread width and the wheel...

Gen 5 Venom Wheels on Gen 2?

OK. I just went through looking at options because I just went with a set of new wheels in the 18"/19" setup due to the elimination of the 335/30R18 from a few tire vendors. Here is what I was able to gather. As far as I was able to gather, the offset is the same from 1996 through 2010...

WTB Rear inner tie rod for 01 gts (cant find it anywhere)

What you are looking for is the rear toe link. The part number is: 4763159AC I don't recall what the inner link looks like. Don't know if it is simply a bolt or if there is a ball joint in there. These photos are from a brake upgrade write up, but it shows the rear suspension and the link...

    Give Me Some Garage Ideas!

Here are a few shots of my setup. I am a bit tight in there because I have a ton of parts in the garage for a 77 Vette being restomodded. Once I relieve some more space, I will remove the shelving in front of the car and I will have much more room to move in there. Including space to bring in...

Got any posters lying around you want to get rid of?

Wow... pretty cool on those files... Some of those have Chrysler as the creator of the file. The resolutions are OK... but most are less than 6 to 8 megapixel. Let's see what I can do with the larger files... I'll let you all know..... Thanks for posting up about the shots!

Got any posters lying around you want to get rid of?

Oh yeah.... forgot to mention... f you all find good shots... I'd love them too. I have the ability to make the prints. Perhaps... I might be willing to "work something out"

Got any posters lying around you want to get rid of?

Ahhhhh.... something I can help you all with.... Top quality prints will be between 240 and 300 dpi to get sharp images when viewed from 2 to 3 feet away. If you are looking at the poster/print from more than 6 to 8 feet, 150 dpi will do it. Pretty much any digital photo will have to be scaled...

    170 degree thermostat ?

OK.... here's my two cents.... or fraction thereof... ;-) the stock t-stat is a 195, if I am not mistaken. Dropping in a 170 degree t-stat is just going to open the engine to coolant flow sooner. As mentioned, if you have a coolant system problem.... for example, air in the system (unlikely if...

VIDEO: Viper on drag strip w/ GoPros & Mic

Like the video! Good idea to throw the GoPro in different places to catch different views. It makes for a cooler video. I love GoPros... my ONLY beef with them is that your always stuck wit a wide angle view. If you had the option of at least a 50mm equivalent (ie. "normal" field of view) it...

    Gen II on Auto Trader

Agreed... I would do the exact same thing. The more eyes that see it the more info he can garner. On that note.... Jon, how would you know he is on all the sites? You there too? .... :-) As far as the car itself, the only thing I see and can add is that the stripes are done after the fact...

Viper runs hot when sitting in traffic

I live in Florida and, in the summer, the temps range in the 90´s with high humidity. I ran with similar temps the first summer I owned the car. I then swapped to a lower thermostat and the Roe fan kit. I did it when I had to change a failed fan. The Roe kit basically has the fans cycle at a...

    Gen II Trunk Space

There really isn't a Gen II Convertible. It is not a true convertible. The model is an RT/10 and it is more of a targa style top. The first true "convertible", in that the roof can be folded up and down, is the Genn III or 2003 and on. Below is the RT/10 Below is the 2003 Convertible...
