Some dealers put a high markup on a car they do not intend to sell. It stays in the dealership to draw customers in to just look at it, and hopefully get them to purchase something.
I was thinking the same thing, and now they've priced the options, I was wondering about the build your own.

The dealers near me haven't signed up. I'm too nervous to be very far away from qualified techs. If I got one, I'd like the Launch Edition. Doesn't look like it's going to happen. sigh.

Let's say Chrysler sells Viper to XYZ Motors, and keeps a minority stake.
Could the Viper keep the name "Dodge"?
Which company (Dodge, Chrysler or XYZ Motors) would have their CAFE impacted by the Viper?
If it's XYZ, wouldn't this scenario be a decent...
