To the original poster, the problem IMO is not that you say you are happy with your dealer, it was that you were SOLICITING customers for that dealer and as such you are pretty much acting in the manner of a salesman. Anyone have a tail light they can part with?
I am looking for a tail light for a Viper. Are the GTS and RT/10 tail lights different? I'm guessing yes. What about Gen I RT/10 vs. Gen II RT/10? I do retail and sell to distributors and dealers. It's *always* a game of who can pay the least, and you guys would not believe the bickering and infighting among the dealers. Actually that's not true. Don't mean to offend, but Plexiglass, Lucite, Lexan, Perspex, etc, are just brand names for various stuff. Lexan is polycarbonate, the others are polyacrelate (acrylic). It's also a pretty common "excuse" for selling, along with 'wife wont let me keep it', etc. I've called on many "Financial hardship, MUST SELL" ads only to find the price wasn't that great and they were teasers. Watch out in Wallingford CT
I think they are required by law to disclose such damage. I know when I was waiting for my BMW that they are "allowed" to fix up to a certain amount of damage (for some reason $1,500 sticks in my mind) and any more than that must be disclosed to the buyer - there was a writeup on the BMW site...- Mike Brunton
