Happy birthday Joe! Hope things go well with your sister. If you get tired of the blue you can always swap EVEN for my RED '06!!!Post pics when you get it and we will see you and the car at the Battleship in 2010!!
Great write up.The intake really wakes up the engine compartment. When I bought my Viper I had an SRT 10 truck with an X-Metal polished and chromed intake and JMB powder coated valve covers. I spent a COMPLETE Saturday swapping intakes and valve covers from one to the other.
I just thought with the 3.55 gear the rpm drop percentage between 5th and 6th would be less, plus he was turning 5500 to 5700, I guess I was just thinking out loud.
Just a thought, from a 30 year drag racer, would 6th be better and use the torque from the lower rpm? I have never been over 150 so I am not sure what the rpm drop would be from 5th to 6th at that speed.
I have an '06 SRT Coupe and am thinking about a Gen IV hood. There are 3 that I know of,factory replacemnt which are on backorder,Vipair, and the carbon fiber Seibon that was on e-bay. What is the difference in scoop height and vent placement compared to the factory Gen IV?
I am working on a customers '00 RT/10. The original complaint was no cabin heat. I checked the hot water valve and it was free but the cable was frozen up,in turn they had broken the plastic tab on the temp control that the cable attaches to. I ordered a new cable and control panel today...
I have an '06 and installed the catless Mopar race exhaust,Pcm and air filters. Mine had a definite seat of the pants improvement.Mopar says with cam and previously mentioned mods it is worth 44 hp. Cam is good for 6-8 hp so I would say its good for 35 hp. Plus it sounds a lot better to me.:2tu:
It is an automatic and he does have a convertor. It is probably a high to mid 11 car. I will have to be on my game in the 60 foot. Best I ever got in the RAM was a 2.01 when it ran the 13.41. But it weighed 5350 with me in it.
