http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/648342-4-vipers...4-different-sounds-video Here's a video we made a few years ago which might help. My car was the Gen.1.
Does anyone have a picture of the air box on a gen.2? I am thinking about changing my Gen.1 hood out to a Gen.2 and I need to see what the Gen.2 air box looks like. I am thinking that the rear piece is the same but the front is different.
I have the screw type compressor and I had to grind down the end blocks that go through the spring coils. Once I did that they worked fine. I have changed springs with them 4 or 5 times.
I have been a Ford person all of my life, although I have owned just about every major American brand car at some time. Other than the early 426 Hemi cars, Chrysler products have not interested me but the Viper is something special in my opinion.
Dan,
You did a tune on my Gen.1 a couple of years ago. I am running Belanger headers with the O2 sensors in one tube per side. You said that it would run better if I moved the O2 sensors to the turnouts. The engine runs great. My question is would I gain anything by moving them to the turnouts?
