Ok this helps.
A nice setup would be to run an oval pipe to the block off plate that sits on top of the fascia. Cut a hole in the plate just big enough to run the pipe through and have a large air filter just in front of the radiator. It would take a good fabricator to make something like...
For 2k you should get exhaust/drop in air filters and a tune of some sort.
You can get a used paxton kit complete for $4500-5,000. And your looking at a 150hp gain at the wheels.
Buy a used supercharger kit, all those mods may be worth 15 hp and thats only due to the tuner if you have a pro calibrate it. Everything else is either better off as a door stop or may 1-2 hp at most.
If you plan on spending 4k you are very close to a used supercharger setup, and then your...
Yes,
But I would be the guy whose cheating, anyone that is seriously asking for this type of race always has something up his sleeve. Have known street racers that had 2 identical cars, first one is the one that beats you then its swapped out while your going around the block to make sure cops...
Assuming this is a turbo car then its just a matter of changing your charge pipe post intercooler. If its N/A then you will be lucky to get 20hp and loose considerably more torque.
Don't waste your money on anything other than multi-disc clutches. You can get the Spec twin disc which comes with a flywheel and is something like 33lb's lighter than the factory clutch, for 1100-1600 depending on the power levels you are working with.
Maybe for the first 2 min, then the water gets hot and all your doing is pumping hot water around.
Water based coolers are great for short term track use, beyond that they are great at keeping your air charge very high.
Lots of speculation and BS in this thread.
1) Rev limiters are designed to save motors not damage them, hitting a rev limiter is usually very safe especially if its the hard cut like the viper has.
2) You will NOT bend a push rod hitting the rev limiter, unless you do it by down shifting and...
Your looking at the torque curve, but after looking at the other chart I understand whats going on.
The a/f is good its on the right, the left side is the psi and this car is making at least 13 so that explains the hp.
If this is 9 psi then that dyno is about 60-70 hp on the hi side, unless you have very well ported heads and other mods to increase the flow from factory considerably.
703rwhp is roughly 780 crank hp on a viper these things are right around 11-13% drive train loss.
Judging by your torque...
