ok. I am surprised someone hasn't said this yet but the anodized carbon color looks nice but is VERY difficult to maintain. any scratches, bug etchings, or if bird droppings get on it and its there. You cant buff it out and you cant respray just one panel... it wont match. That is a very special...
This post makes you loose any credibility you may have had. C7s ugly??? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I happen to think GM hit a homerun with the C7. For the price it is a huge step up over the C6 in every category. Care to make the same comparison between the Gen IV and Gen V??? A...
Peerblock, Sorry but after a few of your posts I can not handle the crap coming out of your mouth anymore. Sorry to be blunt... but you seem like you dish it so you should be able to handle it... but you come across as a ****. I have some serious issues with your comments about veterans and...
Oh I agree. That's why I carry both films. Both are excellent films *** much better than what was out even 5 years ago. We just prefer the Suntek film as it is perfectly smooth. But either film will be a great choice.
That's why we prefer Suntek over Xpel Ultimate. Although both films are self healing Suntek is perfectly smooth. There is no texture difference between the paint and the film.
I install paint protection film so I have kept an eye on the Defender Spray. I have seen a lot of negative feedback about it... especially in the Corvette forum. Most notably the spay does not come out even (so it doesn't go on smooth) and it has also come off when the vehicle is being washed or...
he pictures don't really do that color justice. We saw it in person and it is a beautiful color. Almost looks silver at certain angles but the camera cant pick it up for some reason. It looks pretty good under the hood too. ;-)
I like the way it looks... BUT plastidip is a very temporary application... and it doesn't last too long. I don't understand paying $800 for that when its going to peel off soon. Plus it doesn't protect that well against rocks. It does look good though... except the lights. I don't like the...
Like I said Avery Nano Fusion used to be a great film. But since they restarted the line for some reason it isn't anything like it was. I have to install it as part of a contract with Tesla motors... so I see it all the time. I would not offer that to my clients as it isn't as smooth as it was...
Sure. I always try and help. There have been a lot of people over the years with bad experiences mainly because there are so many different films out there (some really good some really bad) and the level of installers experience varies greatly. So I try and help people out when it comes to the...
I have ben installing film for 12 years and I can tell you without a doubt film does NOT dull the covered areas. Period. In fact the covered areas will be as perfect as the day it was applied. Also the new Viper hoods cant be done with a single sheet of film... 60" is as wide as it comes. But a...
I have been installing film for 12 years now. I test all the films that come out and go with the films I find to be the best. 3M has never been one of those because: the film has a LOT of orange peel to it (looks terrible), uses acrylic for a top coat which will crack after years of exposure to...
3M is a terrible film. I never recommend that product. Xpel is pretty good and is self healing. Of all the films I have tested Suntek is the best film out there for many reasons. More smooth than Xpel, he self healing top coat is much better, and the film is easier to remove (if needed)... not...
The new films do not yellow (at least quality films)... and if they did they would be replaced under warranty. And the clear bra does protect the paint. Period. It doesn't dull the paint... and in fact the underlying paint will be as pristine as the day the film is applied. The glass treatment...
