I was just looking at a 13K mile 2002 GTS...with original tires. I think the owner (not a VCA member) thought I was nuts when I told him I had to factor in the cost of new tires if I bought the car. New viper owner introduction
Looks great! I have also been lurking for almost 10 years without a Viper. :guilty: Wow...I have to give you a ton of credit for driving that thing home. Unless I'm looking at a car that's within 200 miles, I start checking shipping fees. I might be too paranoid to own one of these things. :D- Top_Fuel

Dealer won't release warranty history on Viper unless I own it?!?

Thanks for the reply. :) The warranty history is all I needed. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some warranty nightmare in this car's past. The current owner is a very nice guy and has owned the car for 10 years, but he knows nothing about the warranty history of the car before he...- Top_Fuel

Dealer won't release warranty history on Viper unless I own it?!?
I'm looking at a 2002 Final Edition GTS. It's a low-mile garage queen, and so far everything checks out. Just to make sure the car doesn't have any surprises in its past, I took the VIN number to my local Chrysler dealer service department to see if they could give me the car's warranty...- Top_Fuel

newbie questions about hard tops on the RT/10
Another newbie here with a follow-up question... You guys are saying that there's not much sound reduction even with a hard top. How about using a hard top with aftermarket (Vipermania) side windows? Does that provide any significant noise reduction compared to a canvas top and OEM side...- Top_Fuel
