Maybe the owner caught speeding too many times?
Painful to watch. My former Gen II GTS was black. The one in the video said "Shane" in big letters on the clam shell. Divorce? Revenge by disgruntled ex who got the car as part of the settlement? The way they destroyed it and then posted it on YouTube suggests same.

That makes no sense as the comments on the You Tube video note. Watching all the onlookers with iPads & cell phones filming, it certainly doesn't look like some official action. Be interesting to hear what this really is.

Poster of the video said four more to go! I think it's probably a dumbest thing done by government officials. The cars probably confiscated either from crime or was a cash for clunkers program , LOL. If it was confiscated, the cars should have been auctioned off and giving the proceeds to charity.

Video poster mentioned four more to go! You think Shane had 5 Vipers? If so the wife must be real stupid having the cars crunched instead of just getting them in a divorce settlement!

It is often mandatory to destroy items of value for tax and/or liability (safety) reasons. Likely a person or entity has already benefited monetarily from this vehicle and, laws being laws, sealed its fate.

Some kid posted on the YouTube video that claimed he was there. He said that dodge donated several cars to tech schools. He said that one of the students took one of the cars for a ride and died. Dodge ordered that all of the cars be destroyed.

LOOK at the hood... The Hood had fire Damage. The car itself had 2 different Gen wheels on it. Not sure what was going on with it.. Regardless if it was ordered to be destroyed by a judge they should be disbarred. Also Why wasn't it scraped for PARTS.. MY god we all need parts lol..
