Morning Viper Nation! After 25 years it appears the Viper is finally getting some of the respect it deserves! While many of us are more the "go" than the "show" type, there is no denying that a Viper is a beautiful car to look at, even sitting still. That being said, they are often not all that present at car shows and rarely seem to fit into any category well. That's changed this year at one of the most prestigious car shows in the country! The Greenbrier Concours d'Elegance has created a new Viper class for the inaugural show May 6-8th. Details can be found at the links below. Father Viper Roy Sjoberg himself is supposed to be in attendance!

Thank you for posting! As you may notice, the links are woefully out dated. Updated information is being generated and I will post it as soon as I have it.

Additionally, the event coordinators have a less than stellar selection of cars. Roy is trying for (2) classes at this point - original & modified. Maybe 10 cars each across the 5 gens. As soon as more is known on requirements, I cwill post.

Lastly, there will be events with Roy, Dick, and Herb that are being organized. There is a Saturday Cars and Coffee event for all to attend. When the exact schedule is known, I can post. Events may start Thursday night of the 3rd and end Sunday night the 6th.

Stay tuned.....

Terrific! Thanks for the extra info! I noticed the dates were a bit old, but all the same it sounds like a very interesting event to attend. Looking forward to any extra news you can supply.

That's awesome! It would be great to hear the stories from the guys and gals that lived it themselves. Looking forward to more schedule info. I'm looking at the website now and not really seeing anything about the guys talking, but wasn't sure if that was just tied into other events going on like the President's Club stuff and whether the public can attend them or not.

If you are interested, please private message me immediately.

The Drive event on the 4th is full and, depending on interest, Viper drive can be added with Roy Sjoberg. I need a count first.

Brian

Attendees from 6 states so far. Word is spreading.

Looking forward to seeing snakes from the northeast, midwest, and south. Maybe the group should help detail car that drove the furthest?!?

Come meet the Viper Legend Roy Sjoberg, a.k.a. Father Viper, for pictures and signatures with your car for a donation to charity. This will be a great weekend for a small group to have unfettered access to ask Roy any question you've had about the Viper's creation and the team. We will be enjoying the hospitality of the Greenbrier resort at the Valley View Estate home for social events.

If you are interested, then please message me as soon as possible do to space limitations.

I would like to attend Saturdays event. Can anybody with a Viper just show up or do you pre-register? I don't drive a show car but would like to mingle with other owners.

Update on numbers - we have 10 Vipers for the Concours, we have a separate 13 Vipers registered for club day, and another 5 folks coming without their Snakes. I am taking registration for 3 spots on Club Day. Give me a problems with more people than the 15 they expected. The organizers are floored with the response - so lets snake up the place.

If by chance you have registered for something and we have not communicated, then please PM me here as soon as possible so that I can ensure the organizers have accurate lists.

14 days to go - who's going?

Have a great field with 11 in the Concours on Sunday. Have another 15 for Club day on Saturday with room for (5) more. If you register, then you will be on the field with the group. If you show the day of, there is separate space on the field. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights will be time to relax with cigars and bourbon with Viper Legends Roy, Dick, Herb, Mike, and Viper team members. With all the events going on - one big event out west with 400 snakes - we are ecstatic to have this turnout and the Greenbrier organizers are blow away :)

Here is the link to all the vehicles accepted into the Concours........

That right there is why youll never see me at one of these events.
(I realize its semantics.) Im judged for my decisions in life enough,
dont need the one thing I love to do added to the list.

You guys have fun, we'll be having another luncheon on the 19th,
here in Dover - flip-flops welcome (if you like that sort of thing!)

Bonkers, I enjoy my car the way that is enjoyable to me. That said, I enjoy being with the folks that collect like Mike with his 29 or Gavin with his wrapped and splattered or Nigel with a drag monster or Roy with 90,000 plus miles leaving Northern Michigan tomorrow morning in it to be one of Concours Vipers or Peder who tracked his car to death then built a new engine or Wes who's built a Gen V from a salvaged Gen IV with a 07 frame (think about that) or Ben who's blown his to 700 whp or David that tracks his '16 ACR or Jerry who's 71 and acts 16 with his first Viper that's an 03. Plus, the local Mopar club is volunteering to help run the thing. I am not here to judge you nor anyone I know. We all just love the fact that you are ape crazy over your ride and love sharing it with everyone. Can't wait to see your ride!
