"Be confident with your choice in the Viper, appreciate the z06 for the great car that it is, and hope DC raises the stakes in the future."
Well said Warfang. I recorded the Corvette Z06 bit on Speed Channel. My wife asked why - I told her "because I'm an enthusiast"it's good to see what's...
Taking a trip to Karloffornia and would like to get the Viper aligned and tires rotated. Clear Lake Dodge told me their tech doesn't do alignment on Vipers. Is Carlos still over at Northwest Dodge, or does anyone have recommendations for the NASA area?
Thanks,
Rich
My car was egged the other night and sustained what looks like spiderweb cracks in the clearcoat. Any recommendations on how or if this can be compounded out, what to use, etc...

Thanks - yes I have the new caliper tool for the rears. The fronts were a breeze and I expected the rears to be as straightforward - no such luck. It's supposed to rain all weekend here in Houston and this looked like the perfect project, but my manual is in Dallas - oh well...
I'm putting the EBC Greens on my 2001 and I see the rear brakes are a lot different from the earlier models. Can someone tell me - do I take out the two 12mm bolts to separate the caliper assy.? (as opposed to the pin and spring in the pre 2001)
Don't have the manual with me unfortunately...

For starters, I *believe* you will need to fork over 7k.

Actually, the Gumball website states £8,000.00 GBP and with the conversion rate (this morning) at ~ 1.54 USD to GBP that would make the entry fee around...
Does anybody have one to sell?
Will check with the usual suppliers, but thought I'd see if anyone did a brake upgrade and no longer has use for theirs...
Thanks,
<FONT size="5">NO REGRETS!!</FONT s> There's NOTHING like a nice evening cruise with the top off.
Quoted from Tiepilot: "I love the GTS cars and will have one beside my RT one day"
YUP!! but my first choice will always be the RT (except when it rains...)
Hope this helps -

would not buy the SRT-10. I appreciate the developments in HP/Torque, but I'm not crazy about the new body design. The Viper should Stand out as outrageous in looks (or more so - if that's possible) as the current models.

Ben, et al -
If the clutch is in (no load on the engine) does the rev limiter protect the engine? I remember reading here some time ago that if there is no load on the engine, the rev limiter does not...

Just noticed this thread (don't come around here that often) and also noticed I have one of the affected belts. I just checked and that <FONT COLOR="red">"PRESS"</FONT c> button sticks out like a sore thumb. My elbow released it 10 out of 10 attempts...
What Ulysses said - except you need to completely loosen the two forward knobs only, I don't think they will just pull out like the single knob at the back of the housing. Remove the single knob (at the back of the housing) only - look at "Remove the Existing Hoses" in the "Air Intake Hose...
Since Dodge is picking up my membership dues for 2002, am I still
considered a "Paid 2002 VCA member" (rule 1) and eligible for the raffle?
This may be a dumb question, but when I win, I'd rather not lose the prize due to a "technicality" ...
