    Going to the newer fan assembly made a big difference on my Gen 1. Might also need to "burp" some air out of the cooling system? The fact that it recently started having problems leads me to believe that something has changed (like having some air in the system).

    So where are all the original people from this site?

    I have been on the board since Dec 96 (shortly after I bought my car). Back in the days of "top 10 lists" and "do all Gen I cars need head gaskets, and do all black Gen I's get cracks in the hood". :D On the other board more these days - more lurking than posting on both boards.

    What a familiar story! I had to do some major mods to my hoodpad I bought from R and D also! They told me that I was the only one ever to complain. :nono: Anyway, it came out OK at best. The logo was nicely done. Better than the little silver square that was glued to the inside of my 94 hood...

    I know for sure that different years have differnt length front pins. On my aftermarket hard top, I had to get a different set of pins because the initial ones they sent for my year weren't correct either! Seems they changed part way through the year?
