    Most definitely cast. From what I observed during that time period the spokes broke at the hub during hard cornering with slicks, though no slicks in the picture above.

    '97 was a transition year. Some were cast, some were forged. All '96 were cast and all '98 were forged.

    I used it to hold an iPhone 7 Plus this weekend going to and from CAAP, about 600 mile round trip. Worked great just be careful not to push it on too hard so you don't break a vent fin.

    Leaking fuel from gas cap

    Happened to me a while back while autocrossing. Leak stayed under the aluminum cap but was wet underneath. Replaced the screw cap and all is well.

    98 GTS muffler delete?

    Eliminating the rear muffler, H/X pipe or not, will cause significant drone. Some hate it more than others. For me not a worthwhile trade. A used Corsa 2.5" cat back is an economical and drone-less alternative.

    It works very well and I've had it since 2002 or so. Installation instructions were OK but some of the wire colors they said to splice into were wrong. I hope by now there are long since corrected but it's worth double checking against the service manual. Just don't test the clutch disconnect...

    Decided to go headerless at first, dyno then decide if the added investment is worth it. Not logical for maximum power and more work but also more fun for me as I enjoy finding the true value of each mod. Thanks for the comments.
