Twin-Turbo guys with Scavenge Pump Systems... IN HERE...

Dan, the last time I checked, this thread was trying to build a better mousetrap for the design limitation of the foot well TT systems whose turbos are mounted too low relative to the oil level in the pan...... There are many ways to skin the cat: The basic options are as follows: 1...

Twin-Turbo guys with Scavenge Pump Systems... IN HERE...

Haha, now that's funny! I think there might be a better idea than building a better scavenge pump............ Maybe building a gravity drain turbo system that does NOT NEED A SCAVENGE PUMP????? Hmmmmm;) Dan, I just could not resist! I am sure there is a need for a better scavenge pump setup...

How do I advertise on here?

I have gone to the contact section and inquired about advertising a couple of times and have not heard a word. Am I going to the right place? Thanks!

That's a Gen 3 build. I need some pics of the Gen 4..... Thanks!

    Need some help

Thanks for the pic! I just need a little wider angle so I can see all the way to the furthest part between the front cover and the PS rack on the passenger side.

    Need some help

Hello all! I need somebody to take a picture of a Gen 4 passenger side front cover to the power steering rack clearance for me with all the accessories on a running car. The engine is out being built. I am going a different route on something than I originally intended otherwise I would have...

    Factory supercharged V-10 in development?

Barry great posts! I have a Gen 4 for which I am building a Twin Turbo system that would easily fit on the Gen 5! My proprietary cast manifold, gravity oil drain, 3 or less feet of piping from turbo to intercooler, 200 degrees of total bends turbo to throttle bodies..... Rear mount would work...

    Factory supercharged V-10 in development?

Bob, great post! An open code controller for the Gen V would be fantastic! While I agree the centrifugal would be easier to fit than an eaton style supercharger, the blower with airbox and liquid to air intercooler will definitely block the airflow through the radiator making it very...

    Twin turbo life expectancy

Jon, no agenda here. I love Vipers and have commented about the relative strengths of each platform and what I like about each one. You saying a Gallardo has the advantage of being a Lambo may be an accurate assessment for all the fan boize and kids reading magazines out there. My earlier...

    Twin turbo life expectancy

I was not aware there was a DLM TTG in Chicago. What does it run in the 1/4?

    Twin turbo life expectancy

Jon, if you were talking about a Pagani Zonda, Ferrari Enzo, F-40,F-50, Koenigsegg, Ford GT.................... I would have to agree. Aside from sounding cool, the Gallardo IMO looks like a silly Green, Orange wedge/doorstop. I was at a TX mile event watching all kinds of "Exotic" TT Gallardos...

    Twin turbo life expectancy

Roy, that was on a stock cast piston motor on 93 pump and water-meth that went 20+K miles and trapped 153 in the 1/4 mile, not a built motor..... A bone stock 2000 RT/10! You are correct, the high powered Lambos that are making 1400-1500+ to the wheels are only trapping low to mid 160's in the...

    Twin turbo life expectancy

You may be correct for an all out TT Gallardo build(120-150K just for the turbo build) on race gas. But pump gas for pump gas, the Viper will destroy the Gallardo. Once the new wave of TT Vipers with better turbo systems and better engine management come out, the Viper will enjoy a healthier...

    Twin turbo life expectancy

BTW, I understand the new owner of that car recently trapped 153 MPH @ the 1/4 with that car on about 14 PSI! After 20+K miles on the cast piston motor and turbo system! The original owner went 100-150 MPH .5 seconds faster than a Veyron on ~10-11 PSI on 93 pump and water-meth!

    Twin turbo life expectancy

Roy, I built a cast piston TT RT/10 for a customer that was making 750-800 RWHP for 20,000+ miles. IMO, there is nothing like a TT Viper!

    Twin turbo life expectancy

There are several basic things that make a boosted TT last. 1. An efficient T-4 based twin turbo system that will have a lower back pressure to boost pressure ratio that is easier on the engine and will make any given set of tuning parameters safer as compared to a T-3 setup with a higher back...

    New AEM Infinity 10 ecu?!

Dan, I have been out of the loop for a while and must have missed that you got your Gen 4 TT build running. Please post the link so I can see the numbers you achieved! Congrats!

    Hmmmm, words from Ralph

Enough about this supercharger talk................. Twin Turbos would be way easier to package on a Gen V and could be sized for incredible low end torque but still pull all the way to the top! I am sure the factory could program the ECU properly for a turbo application.

GEARING: Let's get the story straight ...

    The old Gen 4 ratios with .74 5th gear with 3.07 = torque multiplication of 3.07 X .74 = 2.2718 The Gen 5 with .63 6th with a 3.55 = 2.2365 2.2365/2.2718 = .98446 = advantage to Gen 4 from 190-220 MPH 640Hp and 600 LBS/Ft X .98446 would be reduced to 630 HP and 590 LBS/Ft The Gen 4 with...

    Latest from Edmunds. Dyno test.

There is something off with the tire size, gearing or 6400 RPM rev limit from what we have been told for the rev limiter to kick in at 140 MPH.
