He also choose the Viper to use for his wedding car above all the other good cars, praise indeed.:headbang:
His closing remark ' Detroit is making great cars again' caused me to get a Viper in 1998.:)
Hated mine with the Woodhouse mounts that are more solid and went back to the standard shifter, the lack of the rubber insulator on the shaft produced a constant background noise in the car like a badly tuned radio or eggs frying.
The Woodhouse mounts easily stopped most of the changing...
Catch another 100 dollars from the UK.
I have a friend with 2 sons over there, one got taken out with an IED last year as is back at the moment, a Major another an Lt in the infantry, god bless all the troops throughout the free world they stay alert while we sleep.
Good luck on the...
I tried wrapping but the side pods get much hotter as the heat is contained inside, took off the tape and no problem.
The factory is a refective material to protect the side sills and the paint, but a clogged cat will increase the inside heat from the exhaust, cat delete will solve the problem.
But make sure you put a right angle in whatever you use as a puller, its very easy to slip on just a plain rod and your tool slids out of sight into the gas tank, it takes a lot of pressure on some of them to get the filler neck through the grommet even with rubber lubricant.
I powder coated...
Thanks for that Mark its appreciated and I wish Adrian all the best for 2012, its sad to go after all these years but the new El Pres has youth and enthusiasm :2tu: the last 14 years have been a blast I have done things thanks to the Viper that some people dream such as :-
Once I got the front bolt off I used a 'step drill' to make a socket sized hole then blanked it off with a rubber grommet, made taking the sills off for paint a 10 minute job.
Its because the logo is in the same position as the 1998 race car, I guess Dodge/Chrysler wanted the brand and the model number in a better position, the lesser sponsors with more colourful stickers were located underneath, some cars also carried Dodge or Chrysler (for Europe) above the Viper...
Sort of true, but if you get the tire place to bag and label the sensors, ie left front etc and also the wheels and return them to the same place they came from you will not need a DRB, but if you do get a ping then you need to drive the car for several miles at over 30mph to possibly clear the...
96 Model has a different Power steering pump and the pulley is offset so best to start with the straight edge chances of it jumping the deep groove are slim and the wrong pulley on the wrong pump would cause the problem
Also water not filled correctly or car not burped, if air is in the system and it seems likely then water level is not correct and you really need to ensure that the system is emptied again with both block drains out, the engine started and the car refilled while running, then burp the system...
Damm and blast I was looking for an excuse for a German trip and I missed it, still perhaps next year, by nice to meet Andrew and Marcus and the other guys again.

I used to write to every Viper owner in the UK each year and encourage them to join the VCA 50-60 letters at my expense and my time and each year we still had the same people renew year after year.
Did at times get my back up when some of the rest came to evenets that we organised yet had...
Baz.................................The UK Technical Director is a Newbie...........:omg:
Still he will learn quick.........................................................:rolaugh:
Took mine apart early cars are easy as they have brass pins that can be pushed out with a drift and a home vice. Later ones are a problem they have plastic parts for the hinge and latch and are much harder to dis-assemble so I bought a spare on Ebay which was well corroded. I then left the cap...
Got to say I love Dans part the engineering and the thought that went into the design is great.
I did investigate the CC pan but some race teams in the UK have had failures on the CC design and I liked the idea of a swing arm which travels with the oil.
I have had a lot of pain re these and bought a Low Tyre tester from OTC OTC TPMS : Servicing Vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and it will allow me to test all my sensors and I can confirm that they are all on the same radio frequency and that this tool does test them and provide a...
