Andy,
From my other post, you will see a wobbly power steering pulley seems to be the culprit which caused my belt to come off this time. I also need to get my AC fixed and a few other minor items.
Since the car is parked safely in my garage, I will contact you when I am ready to have it...
I looked at the power steering pump pulley and it wobbles when you spin it. The pulley is cracked in several places, but it is still on the shaft. Can I just replace the pulley or do I need a new power steering pump, as well?
Here are a couple of photos I took of the pulley:
Thanks for the suggestions.
It is supposed to warm up to 70+ degrees this weekend in the Houston area, so I will review the rest of the belts path to see if anything is missing or loose.

I drove my 2000 GTS last weekend for the first time since I moved into my new house several months ago. When I was returning from a 30 minute drive, I noticed the power steering was really stiff like the last time I lost the belt. Upon further inspection in my garage, the belt was completely...
I am looking for a good Viper Tech in North Houston for my Gen 2. I lost the serpentine belt again over the weekend, so I would like to have someone take a look at it to see if any other parts need to be replaced. I live up in Montgomery, so the further north, the better for me.
Thanks...
All,
Can anyone recommend a good Viper Tech in North Houston? Is Tomball Dodge any good these days?
My 2000 GTS has a few minor issues which I was hoping to get resolved before the end of the year.
Thanks,

How do you not burn your legs on that bike? My side sills get hot enough to burn your leg and they are way behind the engine. I could not imagine resting my leg against the headers... :(
The Tomahawk looks much safer with its semi enclosed engine and four wheels.

OK, that is good to know. Is there any way to tell if this one was from the factory or installed after the fact?
The threads in the oil pan look perfect and the threads on the original plug look fine, so I wonder why it was leaking from the plug? If the previous Viper Tech had to put...
I have a mostly stock 2000 GTS with very low miles and I have owned the car since it was new. When I took it to the dealer to get an oil change, I mentioned the car had been dripping since the last oil change. When they took out the drain plug, a heli-coil and the plug came out together. Is this...
I like the flames shooting out of the car right in front of you at the end. He must have been really pushing it when he saw you in his rear view mirror... :D

JonB,
Thanks for the follow-up after our phone conversation. I have found a used one close by my house. If it does not work out, I will let you know.

What is the item in the top of this picture? I do not race the car, so is it something I will need to install?
Also, does the 42 vs 44 mean it will not fit my car?

Mark,
Thanks for the help. Please let me know if you find one because my car is sitting at the local dealer without oil and I would like to get it back home.

I need to replace the factory oil pan on my 2000 GTS and I am wondering if there is any place to buy one online? According to my local Dodge dealer, they are not available in the US at this time. I do not want a deeper one, but I would consider a used one if a performance shop has recently...
From what I recall, the general consensus on this board 4-5 years ago was to change the oil after just 200 miles and then, about every 6-12 months regardless of miles. The first oil change was done early during the recommended 500 mile break in period to replace the original oil added at the...
