I've had a couple of wheel alignments done over the last 20 plus years with a couple of Vipers. Even with me hanging over their shoulders and being anal about the settings its never been more than 90 mins from the time I drive the car in to I drive it out. No special tools needed, any decent...
On my 2002 RT10 I’m running Stryker Heads, cam with Belanger Headers and Corsa Exhaust putting down 550+ RWHP. They work, there is no question about that.
What happened to Jeff and his heads?
Tim
I have been there and done that and I kind of agree with you on the cam. But you may want to degree the cam in to make sure it is where it is suppose to be and to port the intake.

I have a 2002 RT10 that I’m putting into cold storage here in Canada. Normally I put a battery tender on the Viper every month during the winter but this year there is no power where the car is at and there is no way I can jack it up and pull the battery out.
I know that pulling the one cable...
I put my catch can onto the CCV line and then back into the manifold
Test run was some booting around town then I made a hard run out west to Jasper, down to the Colombia ice Fields through Nordegg, over to Red Deer and back to Edmonton.
Edm to Jasper I average 75 mph. But from Jasper...
Hey Madmax
I thought about doing both the CCV and V covers but I was not sure if I would thow any codes so I just did the CCV. If yours works well let us know and I will tie them both in.
The little bit of oil that I’m getting into the foam filter in the air box is not getting into the manifold as the smooth tubes and the throttle bodies are bone dry.
The only other place my intake can be getting the oil from has to be from the CCV hose.
I have checked my line from the valve cover to the air box and there has been some oil caught in the little sponge filter. There is no sign that any of it was coming back down the smooth tube into the intake manifold.
I don’t think a catch con on the Valve covers on the GEN 2 would help much if...
Hello Tony, I installed what came in the box. It’s possible I received some that are slightly defective or some that had been miss boxed. When the car runs, it runs fine it’s just when setting the valve lash it’s a pain when the lifters have bled down.
Probably the next time the heads are off...
A light touch on the top of the rocker would depress the plunger on the lifter. Not on all of them but on about ½ of them. Later doing my compression test I had oil pumping out the rockers so I went around and readjusted the lifters within 1 ½ hours and they all stayed full. There is no question...
When cranking over the engine to do my compression test I found that the oil would pump back out my rockers and pump up my lifters. I was able to get a more definitive feel on when I had zero lash and re-adjusted from there.
But I don’t think it is normal for ½ the lifters to bleed down over the...
I’m setting my lifters on my Stryker Package in my 2002 RT10 and I have no or low bleed lifters in there. What I have noticed is that some of the lifters have not bled down so it is easy to set the lash. Yet others have bled down so trying to determine exactly where zero lash is has become a...
If there is no reasonably priced and proven upgrade for a rear Limited Slip Differential I think I’m wasting my time thinking about the Jeep.
I’m not around a lot in Canada during our miserable winters so I think I would be further ahead in the winter with the 2 wheel drive Chrysler 300 SRT 8...
Hey ColoViper,
That is some good info and thanks.
I’m tired of trying to manoeuvre my 2004 1 Ton Cummins around the city. It’s great everywhere else except in driving in the cities and trying to find some where to park. So I thought that maybe the SRT 8 Jeep to replace it when I’m not driving...
I’m looking to buy a good used Jeep Cherokee SRT8 and I’m wondering if there is anything that might be inherently weak with this model that I should pay extra attention to? Is one year better than another or offer a longer term warranty?
Why is it that every used car lot in the country has one...
