Yea, I made the splitter in carbon fiber and do still have the form. Not really interested in making any more at this time... I also built the turbo system - this is my second one, if you do a search you should see some build pics. Top quality stuff all the way through. I'll post up some...

Let's see your upgraded Crankcase Ventilation System

I've spent a lot of time experimenting on both blower and turbo cars, and agree with Dan, these setups are the best as they do a great job of pulling the oil out of the air before they vent (they are full of screens and plastic mesh), and they drain the oil back into the crankcase. No emptying...

When best intentions BLOW UP an engine...

Sorry about your engine. From your description, I really don't think the length of the plugs had much to do with your problem, your tune was just too close to the knock threshold. Just because you can't readily hear it does not mean it's not there. If the plugs were hitting you would have...

Car Took A Dump on the Dyno

I agree completely, A leakdown test is absolutely step 1, no debate. Have that done and post again as to the results. -Dave.

    TT teaser pics

Thanks for the replies guys. The turbos are precision turbo 74mm - they have a little better transient response than 76's, but according to precision produce the same peak HP until over 30psi, where 76's keep going. I'm not going to run that much boost, so I think they are a nice compromise...

SUSPENSION FAILURE PHOTOS - Check your cars!

I couldn't agree more, the Welds on the '90's Vipers completely suck. It's kind of embarrasing. Not to mention they didn't bother to clean up the weld splatter before they paint the frames. I re-hit a lot of the welds on my car. later, Dave.

    four wheel alignment

I have done probably 10 experimental alignments on my car as I autocross a lot and have found that there is a huge difference in getting the alignment correct. Sit in the drivers seat and get them to put 250-300 pounds in the back while you have the alignment done. This way when the car squats...

    functional adjustable splitter install question

Almost done Well, Here are a few updated pics. Splitter support is 1/4 aluminum bolted to the frame where there used to be some plastic spacers, then it reaches out 11" under inside the fascia. I use shims between the splitter and fascia to adjust the angle of attach. Drilled 4 holes in the...

    Thought this was cool

The insulation inside your hood has that pattern in it. So it is thinner and more heat comes through the hood in that pattern. -Dave

    functional adjustable splitter install question

Re: made my own..... Dave666, I have to admit I cut the gap in the center because I like the way the new ACR splitter looks, so I modeled it after that. I may tone it down a bit. The seal: After I mount it to the car and get the car back on the ground, I'm going to set it at "0", then move...

    functional adjustable splitter install question

made my own..... Well, I decided to make my own splitter out of carbon fiber. Here's a pic of the mockup and the finished piece 30 seconds after I popped it out of the mold. Need to clean up the edges and clear it, but it looks decent. I'm going to use some 1/4" aluminum and extend the frame...

    functional adjustable splitter install question

Well, Not much info forthcoming. I tried Partsrack, but the only "real" splitter he had on is website is not longer available. I think I'm going to have to make one out of CF and fiberglass. I made this wing f1dyno :: Twin Turbo Viper last winter and sold 3 of them to Jon (it actually...

    functional adjustable splitter install question

Guys, I'm considering getting a functional splitter. I'm thinking I'd like it to be adjustable. Does anyone have any underneath pics, or at least a verbal description of how they attach? I'm thinking it must attach to the frame somehow. Does that mean the little air dam under the fascia...
