Optima battery advice

AMEN!! I really appreciate the replies on this post! Just my opinion, but maybe the "how to" section that suggests using an Optima should also clarify the issues that will occur. Thanks to all that gave me their thoughts!! :2tu: Derek :usa:

    Optima battery advice

Searched the forums, reviewed the How to section, & determined that the Optima 7535 Red top is the most "popular" battery for replacement. Finally got to my old battery, got the Optima home.....& it doesn't fit! I know "it will be tight" was commonly used in the postings, but nearly...

    Needing new tires.....options, please

Hey everyone! I guess the time has come to get a new set of tires for my '95. Never "track" this princess, nor does she ever see wet pavement. However, I still want a dependable performance style tire. I have done searches on this subject & found that the Michelin Pilots are very popular...

    Swapping my viper

Premier is who found mine. Told them what I was looking for & they found it within 2 days. Very good to work with & liked the luxury of having the contract stating that if it wasn't to my satisfaction when delivered (from GA to MO), I was not obligated to purchase. Would be my first...

    International Viper Registry info

This is a great source of information dealing with the build information of these Marvelous machines. I was noticing this morning that more information has been included for the "exterior and interior color production information" that breaks down the number of different color combos for the...

looking to buy side windows need advice

My windows have a storage bag (similar to the soft top's bag) & yes they will fit in the cargo compartment (if you don't have much of anything else in there). I can get the soft top & windows in with no problems... RavenFan, thanks for the compliment! :2tu: :usa:

    Brake caliper wording

I've been reviewing the year-to-year features from http://www.viperclub.org/menus/index_ivr_features.htm & noticed that the wording on the brake calipers were changed back to "VIPER" in '94. There is also a "Trivia" note that the "RT/10 calipers were originally intended for BUX Vipers only...

    Looking for tonneau cover...

to fit a '95. Will a cover from any year fit the snap configuration of the '95? I have searched & found that there seems to be some confusion on the types of covers available. I am not interested in the one that covers the windshield & fastens under the wheel wells & such. I have...

    Reverse gear lockout

....& that's when the calipers were changed from "VIPER" to "RT/10"! I was also wondering that (had seen some with "VIPER" & wondered why mine were "RT/10")! Thanks for pointing me to the answers!!

    Reverse gear lockout

I have done a search on this & found quite a few hits. I see that there are some Vipers that are equipped, but I haven't been able to find anything stating whether the '95s were equipped. I found a December 1992 Consumer Guide about the birth of the Viper. Within this book, it states that...

Buy one. Drive it/enjoy it. Enjoy the attention it receives. Check on it every night before you go to sleep. Then you will find that there is no true "cost" of owning one of these beauties.....PRICELESS! ;)

quote:
Originally posted by Joe Germann: Derek, I have never had a problem with the wire getting hot. The Battery Tender only pushed a small amount of currenT. The fuse in the pigtail is just 3 amps, hardly a current level that would...

    Battery Tender

quote:
Originally posted by Joe Germann: I hooked the pigtail lead to the +12V remote feed under the hood on the drivers side. I then snaked the pigtail so it came out in the front left wheel well. When not in use it tucks neatly in...
