Here’s what you’re missing, car was purchased 11/11/00 so it’s a little over 9 years old. Took it to them to tell me what was wrong and they said need to replace compressor looks to be leaking. I was going to take it elsewhere to get a second opinion but then the slave cylinder went out after...
Blackviper, and yes he did “just put freon in” and I did have to pay the $600 for the new line and before that I paid another $100 for them to look at the car to tell me what was wrong with it. I don’t think I said I can’t afford $1500 to fix my air. I just want the air fixed and done right. The...
Thanks eucharistos I and found a place near my house that fixes exotic cars and I will be going there and having them replace the o-ring and I will go from there.
My car is a 2000 R/T 10 with 33,000 miles on it. I also have a 2005 SRT 10. And to Bobpax, its not whether or not I can afford a Viper at this time. Business is slow and I’m just watching were the money goes now days then before and just cuz I pull up in a Viper or cuz I have two that they can...
Well here’s my latest encounter with University Dodge. Couple months ago my air was not blowing out very cold, took it in and they said it looked like my compressor / condenser was leaking. I asked how much and they said about $1,500. I said just put more Freon in and when I had the money I...
Just got back from picking the car up, it was the slave cylinder and got them down to $625 for the labor and they paid for the slave. Still seems a a little high but down from the $1000.
Don't recall, could not shift and put car in neutral and then pushed it to the side of the road ( I was in a turning lane and had to push to get it to the side of the road)
I'm still waiting for a call back. Tried calling service advisor and got "voice mail box is full" goodbye. Real nice - I can't leave a msg or get a call back.
Bob, I’ve had the car for almost 10 years with nothing major going wrong with it (except clutch in 08). My SRT 10 has had nothing wrong with it. I do know how to drive a stick and I have never raced the car. The reason I first went to University was because you and others recommended them on...
Clutch fluid was empty and on garage floor. Put some in and leaked right out. Had it towed to them. Did not see them do the work as it was towed in and they fixed it - so I thought!
Hope someone has some ideas or suggestions to help me. Had my car in for a new clutch and slave on 10/31/08 and paid $1680. parts and labor. This past Friday as I was driving home the clutch pedal would not go down so I had to leave it on the side of the road till Saturday and had it towed back...
yeah I got mine from Autoform also. I went with the wall mount and you can see in the photo goes up pretty easy. when are you picking it up? I live 15min from there but won't be back in Michigan till the end of May. Good luck!
Yes they fill and empty and fill again. I got mine done here in Fort Lauderdale at the local Goodyear. They will check and put in nitro whenever you want, and before I left Florida last year I had them over inflate my tires to 40psi and 6 months later only went down about 2psi in each tire.
Well talked to Mike (mechanic) today and he said it was not the exhaust that turned them white. He said there is a good 4-6 inches of space between the exhaust and the wheel well and there’s a heat shield in place. So he believes that something was used to clean the wheel wells or something was...
Real car and I have seen it at Autoform (pictured in the background) Tony from AF should have more info on it. Steve the owner was selling it a couple of years back
Well, I am not sure if you have a “kid” at your dealership but I happen to know the Viper mechanic (Mike) and he has always worked on my cars when they have been here in Florida and the other day when I made the appointment he said he would be doing the work – thanks for your concerns but I...
Thanks for the reply; I don’t put stuff on the tires. And when I go to the car wash I tell them not to put tire stuff on (perhaps they have) but now I know what will happen - so after new ones go on I will make sure they don’t put any tire stuff on. The white spot really stands out and irritates...
That was not the reason for my post – I drive both of my vipers as much as possible. My post was to see if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone had any thoughts to why this is happening. And given that you don’t have a SRT 10 you would not know the reason.
