so I am just wondering where everyone is staying for Carlisle? I would like to stay with a bunch of other vipers so I don't have to worry about my car.
i know the gen 1 pulley is steel and a gen 2 is plastic. my 96 rt/10 gen 1.5 is a plastic pulley and needs replaced. so the pulley is plastic like a gen 2 but the engine is a gen 1. what i am wondering is if the replacement billet pulley that fits on gen 2's will work on mine? i don't want...
so does the plastic idler pulley on a gen II have the same problem as the power steering pulley? i noticed when putting my belt back on from replacing the power sttering pulley was also plastic and am wondering if it is also prone to breaking.
well thanks to Tator and Roe i have a lot stronger running car. put a set of HS roller rockers and did the SCT tune. amazed how strong it pulls from 3500 rpm up. car seems to run a lot smoother overall also. :drive: gave the car a great sound in third and fourth gear at high rpm's. now i...
i have a 96 rt/10 with the gen 1 engine and the 96 model is obd 2. i was wondering if any fellow gen 1 1/2 bretheren have tried the SCT programmer and what kind of results the have had? thanks, todd:eater:
i know there is black, blue, and red leather covered. i was wondering if there were any other colors than gen1 steering wheels came in? i saw ebay auctions that listed yellow and also green oem steering wheels. i was wondering if anybody had a gen1 with these other various colors?
anyone have an idea the cost of a new fuel pump for a 96 rt/10?:dunno: i think i may have to replace mine and want to know what i am going to get into it.
i was out for a ride tonight, had the radio turned up fairly loud, and start hearing some very strange noise in the rear of my car. at first i thought it was the stereo. i turn off the stereo and the noise gets much louder. i thought i had a flat but it rode fine. it sounded almost like a...
my dream of someday having the most vipers is dead:rolaugh:...a guy from texas has 29 and counting:crazy2: i wouldn't even want the maintenance bill let alone the cost of purchase. oh well i guess i could always try for the fastest:drive:
i hear a buzzing noise under the dash just above the passenger side foot well. i hear in off and on. it is not continuous. it just eems to start and stop. buzzing is about the best way to descibe the noise. it is very annoying. the car is a 96 gen 1 if this helps any. i have no idea what...

I first fell in love with the Viper the day it came out. It took 6 years of savings to buy my first one. It took another 2 years and trade of my Harley to get my second. I loved them on there sheer looks and power. But Chuck Tator and Tator's Dodge is what made these cars a wonderful driving...
is this much of a job or any tricks to know? it appears that you just unplug the wires and it just screws in and out. is this pretty straight forward or is there more to it?:dunno:
i have always avoided nitrous (and may still) but was wondering how much, if any, tuning is involved with say a 100 hp shot of nitrous? i have a 96 rt/10 and considered doing a 100 hp shot and was wondering what all is involved? if i were to ever do it i would go with the system that has the...
i don't know what made me think of it but i have never seen anyone talk about or advertise underdrive pulleys for a Gen 1.:dunno: i was just wandering if no one made them or if they were any good or made a difference.
