I've been trying to contact Valaya Racing in San Jose, CA for some Viper work, but no answer and no return of voice messages left.
Anyone know if their still in business?
Thanks!
Brian
Re: MCVO Tour of Saleen Plant -- the Final Ford GT\'s
Great write-up, and pics. I love the Gulf LeMans color GT40's. Was that an option/special order/or final edition type of deal?
Cal
What's that you say?
Honestly it's not that bad unless you're really on it. I can carry on a cell phone conversation with no problems, or carry on a normal conversation with a passenger.

Re: Anyone ever have the
It was actually my alarm remote keyfob that failed. I got a replacement remote from Tators, plus a new car battery and life was good (after reprogramming the keyfob, which is very easy).
I suspect in retrospect that the keyfob malfunctioned, causing the alarm to...
Hey GR8 ASP,
I got your comment. No track days whatsoever is criminal in a place like Michigan! I mean that's practically the birthplace of the American sports car!! :usa:
I guess I'm a bit surprised at the defensiveness from a comment that wasn't a big deal, or ill-intended.
Oh well...
Hey GR8 ASP...it's not a complaint (although it was obviously taken that way). It was purely an observation. :p
Thanks to other posters on this thread, a whole bunch of track opportunities just opened up

I did it, and I LOVE it. :headbang:
I have the Belanger long tube Tri-Y headers, and B&B 3" exhaust (I don't believe the B&B mufflers do much, looking through them, there's zero restriction).
I love the sound, especially at WOT. What I don't love is the raw fuel that dumps...
Hi Randy,
I understand BAMF and Viper Days are separate events. I just dug out my newsletter I received in December, and maybe the dates changed, but the schedule indicated they were in fact both at Button Willow, with the BAMF event (Mar31) the day prior to Viper Days (Apr 1&2). I do...
Fred and Randy,
Geesh, a harmless comment garnered so much attention  You both have fair comments, I stand corrected. :buttkick:
I joined the VCA last year in about June/July...and was itching for driving events as a new Viper owner. I went to the VCA SJGP event in July (my first...
Re: Anyone ever have the
I had it happen when my battery died. After replacing the battery I also found my remote key fob died, so wasn't positive the alarm was stuck going off and killed the battery or it was just a coincidence, but after a new battery and remote keyfob all was well.

I second ViperJoe, get the Viper Buyers Guide by Maurice Liang (our NorCal VCA president). It covers each years in's and out's, production figures, and what to look for when searching for a car. It also has a lot of nice Viper history, trivia and other interesting info.
You can pick it up...
Redsled, Thanks for the NCRC info. Low-mid 1:50's at T-Hil is definitely quick. They didn't time us in our program, so I'm not sure what I was running, but I know it was no where near that!
luc that's a good synopsis of the track program operations, I can certainly see why clubs don't run...
Hi Fred,
My comment was an observation (and one shared by more then myself I can assure you), but not a condemnation of the club, no need to take it personally.
I'm just starting on the track program, as Thunderhill last week was my first time out. When I received the yearly norcal VCA...
I put the larger fan in my 96 and I had to change the plug on the harness, and I think just add or remove one or two mounting bolts. It was pretty straight forward.

Hey Dan, I remember chatting with you some time back (probably a couple of years back :D Do you know if the NCRC has driving instructors that are Viper savvy?
Seems like the norcal VCA is more into car shows and BBQ's then driving events :bonker: Hate to say it, but thought it was a bit...
I'm catless too and also seeing the same issue. I used Mequiars cleaner wax and it came right off. I went over that with a coat of Teflon based wax as an additional protective coat, I'll see how that works.
I also just applied the Teflon based wax to 3 of 4 of my white wheels to see if it...
Don - Thanks for the info on the SS brake lines. If you don't mind me asking, do you recall about how much $$ they were?
Tom - That makes sense, I didn't even know little Bibendum was there, but just looked and sure enough he's all over the place :)
Is the general censensus that the...
Great idea Tom.
I just installed these on all four calipers when I put on front rotors and pads. Their worth every penny as they make bleeding or flushing a very easy, one man operation. I also used the IV bag, not required, but sure made the job easier (although you could just use a tube...
