Thanks for the info on the mats, just ordered. Don't get caught up in the cheapness of the floor mats. I have spent several times more on a car and no mats were included. I was actually surprise to see they even included a set. I viewed them as disposable till I got nice ones.
OK just got back from a spirited drive. Played around a little more with the traction and suspension. First, the launch control is a blast! I am not a drag racer (road racer) so I don't do much from a standing start but I did half dozen launches and left some nice long tire tracks, love the...
I didn't mean to get everyone side tracked on the manual. There is a user's guide that was in the trunk with the floor mats along with a DVD. Very nicely done and I should have looked it over more carefully before i went out on the road. I was told by the dealer that the Warranty card and...
I remember that poster when I was in college too. My roommate had that above his bed. He would always talk about that being him some day, but he never got off his butt to do anything meanwhile I was working 2 jobs and had my own business on the side. I would add to that, "benefits of...
Thanks, I wish I knew a little ahead of time the car was coming, but then again the surprise was nice too. The warehouse is just temporary till my new shop is finished. We are digging the foundation now. not planning on doing any mods right now. you know me, I love mods but i also have...
Well this is really a thread about the GenV, don't want to hijack it. I can do a direct comparison between the GenV and the other cars after I drive the Viper a little more if you would like.
Just put 100 miles on the car. Some around town, some highway and some spirited country road. The car appearance is stunning. My wife is a Architect/designer loved the curves and said the front looks like a snake. She thought it was beautiful. It is quite tight and firm on the ride side...
Totally unexpected given all the delays but not complaining. The color is quite amazing, it seems to just glow. Will get it out and about his afternoon and see how she does. definitely needs to be drop at least an inch though, riding a little high for me. someone will be out with a spring...
With respect, I will disagree. The KW lift system is very expensive, but very cool and all it takes is one smashed front skirt to make it worth it. I have the system on my GT and I love it. The GT has a straight forward suspension system and the KW firms up the ride considerably, while the...
The mules looked like a 4x4, the recent pics looked better but still look to high for my preference. Some one will come out with a shorter spring set that will maintain the factory GTS suspension system. Ferrari 458 has a very sophisticated suspension system and all it takes to lower it is a...
The analog speedo can be displayed on the right or the left, depending on what else you have displayed on the other. One cool thing you can do is have the NAV on the right and speedo on the left and use the NAV zoomed in as a guide on how tight upcoming turns are when you are unfamiliar with...
Of course I still have Victoria, she was my first and I'll never let her go. I have not been able to pass emissions since the last remod. going to try another approach over Easter. We do have an open arrangement however. I'm allowed to have other mistrisses. I have had my GenV on order for...
Same here, too loud, to bumpy, too fast only because it is hard to control myself. She likes to look at them, just not here them. As long as I promise to keep one of the toys not loud, I'm good. She knows I love them and when I come back from driving I'm not grumpy.
The Viper and Ferrari are in totally different worlds and are totally different driving experiences. It's not about HP, torque or HP/lbs. Those are all paper specs. The current Viper is a beast while the Ferrari is well, pure driving refinement. Could not say which is better, both a blast...
I do have a legitimate gripe, those of us that have Stryker Red ordered have gotten no information about when it will be available, at least I haven't. Anyone, anyone
Sorry but I have been around for a while and have upgraded every car I have owned (almost) and I have owned a lot more than you. Yes suspension, cooling, lubrication, weight, etc. Its just part of being a car enthusiast, we can't help ourselves. I am sure the GenV suspension works great and...
Problem with carbon is that every high school kid has his ricer decked out in fake carbon. Its so common that it makes real carbon look fake. Even makes a $400K Lambo look cheap, IMO. It must be used exactly right in order to look good.
This forum is no place for that kind of talk. We are a bunch of whiners and we like it that way. And yes, the change to Pennzoil is a big problem. I will have to find a different place to get the oil changed and I am not alone. SRT is going to lose a lot of customers over that one.
