I went in the opposite direction from a SRT to a C6 and what I miss most of all is the Viper Techs. GM says their Corvette Mechanics are qualified techs. No way as the author says it is a crap shoot when you take a C6 for service and often us Gearheads know more than the kid who was biggie...
5 \"Rubber Jack Pad
A few months back I found a thread regarding a large surface rubber jack pad approx 5 inches in diameter for use when a jack surface face is larger than the Viper jack pad. I bought one and it was great NOW I lost it . Can anyone recall where I can purchase one? THX
Let me make it more clear the Viper's unpredictability is a flaw like it or not and my inquiry did DC do anything in engineering the RAM SRT 10 to be less of a skud missle at times? You may recall the skud would usually fire but land anywhere it pleased.
Does the SRT Ram 10 have the same handling characteristics as the Viper SRT specifically the tendency to break the rear ties loose when power is applied in a turn? Are the same tires part of the OEM equipment?
ADDED INQUIRY I bought my SRT with 4K miles and have no idea if my exhaust was modified. Living in Texas heat country my sills are certainly warm but not necessarily hot nor do I feel much heat inside the car. The sound is a low toned rumble which I have no reason to change. Any way to...
I plan to make up for lost time with a long run.Now why would the battery go dead just because the keys were left in? I know no lights were left on or doors not closed properly.
Bingo got the door open the key was very hard to turn even when pushing on the door as for the battery it's flatter than my first girl friend so battery tender is at work. THX
I inadvertantly left my keys in the ignition last night and this morning I am locked out I did not set the alarm and just charged the battery two days ago. Now the best part the key slot in the drivers door will not turn with my other key? I am charging the battery again as it's dead any other tips?
Congrats glad to hear it went well and it was certainly worth the wait. After two months behind the wheel of the SRT I have learned one thing Aretha Franklin had it right RESPECT the torque. ENJOY!!
Welcome I guess the best analogy is I still find reasons to drive the Viper even when it makes more sense to drive something else.Even with my 2003 ZO6 I never did that now I know it was because there is no comparison with the SRT.Dropping the top is the uncompromised added rush. You made a wise...
Re: Mass Picture Post #1 (New Mods--Skip\'s Tips)
SKIP I would also like to know about the tip install on stock exhaust reference "sellshomesdrivesviper" inquiry on this thread. THX Bill
I have no choice but to come clean I found a suitable hook type fitting at Home Depot and as I went to install it I found I already had one on my 2004 SRT. I suggest others go look to see if yours have it as well.
I understand removing the CATS will reduce the sill heat. I am concerned about exhaust harmonic drone as I have had that problems after modifying other exhaust systems and it was horrible. My only objective is to reduce heat and limit added noise if I get more HP that is of course a good thing...

I found the Dallas club to be very receptive to a new guy and in fact modest. The thing I am just taken by is the help you get on this site as well as the jabs you get every once in a while all in good fun. My wife asked me when I returned home what I thought of the Dallas Viper...
Guess I'm one of the few who will only do mostly cosmetic mods. The Viper is becoming my daily driver given the option that is the key I grab in fact I drive it so much there's not much time for mods. I kind of burned out on every mod known to man on my other cars and I really like the Viper...
Welcome I bought a 2004 Viper in early April after driving Corvettes for many years while not a Porsche it was for me a compltete change in driving style and control. The Corvette even my ZO6 is also very forgiving and "normal" until you jumped on it and this is not so with the Viper. First of...
