    How to tie down viper

    SRT-10 frame slots are designed for "R" hooks available with ratchet straps from AWDirect.com. You risk other kinds of hooks coming out if the straps become loose or the car moves at all on the trailer.

    Consider SpeedBleeders. Makes it an easy one-person job with no expensive equipment. I think they cost about $60 for 8 of them. Also, check out the StopTech website for a good how-to article on bleeding.

    Does it go away when the engine warms up? If so, you may have an exhaust header crack where the gusset is welded to the tubes. The crack opens when cold and closes when hot.

    Valve/lifter concern

    Does the sound go away after the engine gets up to normal temps? If so, it may be a not-to-unusual small crack in the exhaust header where the gusset spans the tubes. If it does, try listening on cold startup.

    Your car came with a very valuable engine warranty and I’d think hard about using anything other than the factory oil and giving Dodge a reason to deny a warranty claim. How much of a benefit can there be from a different brand of modern oil compared to the warranty risk?
