Zymol is absolutly the BEST, but I'm not sure if you know the different quality of Zymols out in the marketplace. You can get a Pep boys grade of Zymol that is a liquid or the paste that sell for about Ten to fifteen bucks, But the real stuff sells for around 50 bucks and can only be purchased...
Here is a true story that might help you make up your mind. Three days a go I was going down the main road where I live for a little cruise in my 05 Silver vert. A new red Z06 pulled on to the roadway as I went by. He sped up to catch me and pulled along side just to look at my SRT 10.
He was so...
I have had my entire sills covered with clearbra from the front wheels all the way back to the exhaust right up under the doors and to the carpet. NOT A PROBLEM IN THE WORLD. NO stone chips, no heal scuffs, so scrapes no nothing, wouldn't live without it. Had it done by a real expert in New...
I would drive it everyday and everywhere if people would just stay away from it. They just love to hang all over my VIPER. Actually you gotta love it! We have a really great car. In New Jersey you hardly see one on the road but every 2 0r 3 months..... go figure ??????? I go out every day I can...
Finally someone is confirming what I have experienced and felt with my 2005 SRT 10 all along. I have raced A ZO6 and beat him easily. I also could drive this car everyday with no problems except one-- leaving it alone and keeping people away from it. I had a choice between the ZO6 and my Viper...
I also live in New Jersey, but I have put the inspection sticker on and it really has not bothered me at all, you really won't realize its there after a while. I put it all the way to the left as far as possible and it looks pretty good. I put it on so I won't give the cops a reason to pull me...
Re: Black \'06 Z06 gets his ass handed to him..
Great run Gerald. I had the same exact experience a month or so ago. Took a new Z06 to school also. I could care less if its the car or the driver which seems to be the arguement here. At the Daytona 500 for example, people don't care which car...
I agree, DC has some work to do. Some of the other Viper owners say Motons stop the wheel hop and provide a much better ride, if thats the case DC should be putting them on our VIPERS.
I was not implying that the wheel hop was either desirable or designed by DC that way. If you read what I said that "the wheel hop can definitely be a problem", But it can be overcome by driving the car differently and under the right conditions. DC should try to alleviate the problem because...
Extra weight in the rear of the car will definitely help wheel hop. I always keep my gas tank full (remember 8.6 lbs per gallon)and have noticed less tendency for wheel hop when I launch improperly. When I first got my SRT 10 I had some problems with wheel hop, now after 6 months and 4000 miles...
The trick is to apply as much power as possible without spinning the tires, then there will be no wheel hop, better times and more RACES won. You have to get a real feel for the pedal!!!!! As mentioned before it's not the VIPERS fault.
BIG MISTAKE, BIG MISTAKE, BIG MISTAKE for me nothing like a Convertible. Besides why take a second hit on new car depreciation, just buy a hard top as suggested above if you want that Coupe feel.
At the Price we paid for our SRT convertible, we not only have perhaps the most powerful, but far less expensive than any other one. What a deal we have ! And I don't know of a better looking one in my opinion. It doesn't get any better than this. (Until you put on your Mods)!!!!!!!!!!
This is really good to see. We all have fantastic cars.
There isn't a Viper made that I haven't wanted. It is my goal to own one of each. So lets keep up this spirit and stay united. Life with a VIPER is great, we are all fortunate to own one.
Re: I\'ve been warned
I must say some of the irrational and uneducated criticisms I have seen regarding the SRT 10 on this board along with the childish language has really amazed me. I thought action would have been taken sooner, but I'm glad it is finally happening and hope it continues.
This...
DSR207, Did you have any problems installing them and have you experienced any rattling Etc? Also, will it mar or hurt the paint job in any way if you take them off?
Thanks for all the input Guys I think they look great and will be ordering them. DSR that's a real nice car.
Your right in everything you said about the battery cover. Take out their screws and put in your own bolts and nuts,
or you will always have this problem. In fact I just lay my cover on top now with no screws, etc. and put the rug over it. I hear no rattling or noise ----no problems.
Has anyone purchased and installed the rear fascia accent Mopar makes for the SRT 10 that was advertised in the summer 05 issue of Viper. I'm interested to know how easy it installs, how it looks, any problems experienced and the cost. I would appreciate any information or pictures you might have.
A lot of you guys out there have had your SRT 10's longer than I have so I would like to draw on your knowledge and experience with the car. My car seems to run extremely well, but idles a little rough when sitting in neutral after thorough warmup. I'm sure that the car is not supposed to run...
