I will usually pass on a car that saw multiple auctions. If the other dealers can't manage to retail it for a profit, what makes me think I'll be able to?
I buy one-owner certified cars at the dealer auctions. About four weeks ago, I bought an "As Is" '04 Eclipse that looked to be a steal...
I have a ton hosted on my LLC site. Sapphire Blue with Silver Stripes. 2001 obviously ...

Hope that helps!

Re: I\'m a Viper owner!! Pics inside.
I've only driven my GTS about 200 miles, and I don't know if I could ever get used to the pedal positioning. It's almost like you sit facing the driver's door :-)

I lived there from 1992-2005 ... And it was a rare day that I took a really nice car there. It was fun for the posing, but it was way too stressful wondering what was going to happen to it.

Johann is right - It isn't really an emissions thing ... It's a revenue thing. That always seemed ironic to me since I was TRYING to pay CA state sales tax on the vehicles, and they were telling me that I had to remove them from the state. Okay ... That makes sense!

Get this - I got an advertisement in the mail saying I could call about an extended warranty on my '01 GTS.
Just for a goof, I called the place. I told them the car had 2,500 miles on it. I told them I'd probably drive it less than 500 miles a year.
They wouldn't touch it. When I asked why...
It is a bunch on nonsense - I got hit with that 'law' many times during the 13 years I lived there. And I sure got tired of my neighbor (A fire chief) asking me why I ran Missouri tags on some of my cars.
If it can be f'ed up, leave it to California to find a way.

That is one of the longer write-ups I've ever seen on eBay. Looks to be a pretty good deal, unless of course it pops lots higher in the final hour. Hopefully for the seller, it does just that!
Re: Is it rude to have (please don\'t touch) HEY I WON!
Thanks to V10Speed, I won't have to be the first person to mention more pics of the girls! Congrats on your first win, sounds like a great Fathers Day indeed ...
Depends on the buyer - For me, mods hinder my buying it unless it is done exactly like I want. If you find the buyer that likes exactly what you've done, you can do okay.

Re: Is 30,000miles high for a \'01?
I have 2,560 very easy miles on my '01 Sapphire/Silver GTS. It's a black interior car, and it would probably go to a new owner for $62K.
Sometimes I wish I would have bought a less expensive high mileage car for my first Viper - But I'm a sucker for low...
WHAT? I did ten years active duty USAF and couldn't afford a Viper unless my wife offered to work street corners in nice neighborhoods! What's the secret?
Thanks for your service, and we wish you a safe trip home. Don't go the Viper first thing, or the little lady will definitely get pissed...
You can never predict. The key factor for a dealer is desirability, aka how likely is he/she to resell it at a profit. I will pay over wholesale for a car that I know I can turn. I won't pay close to wholesale for a car that I'm gonna have to work to sell.
Unfortunately for SRT10 sellers...
Re: Pics of my SRT lowered with KW\'s and HRE wheels!
Okay, you should take this as a big compliment - I'm not crazy about the SRT cars, and I generally don't like black wheels. But YOUR combination - I'd be proud to drive that!

My GTS has 2,500 pampered miles on it, and the brakes sound like metal on metal sometimes. I figure they've just glazed over, so I'll have to try a few hard stops.
