I have a Spec clutch I removed after 500 miles from a gen 3. Didn't like it. Too tough to engage. Free if someone wants to pick it up. Southern Maryland. I also slightly damaged the front splitter and ripped a 2-3"
tear in the lower front bumper cover for my 2014 TA. Had the entire...
I agree fully. Ran my supercharged 06 coupe (620 rwhp) against a relatively stock GTR (downpipes and y pipe). Viper would pull it from a 60 roll everytime, but off the line I got annihilated EVERY time. The GTR is an animal with AWD and the ease of the dual clutch paddle shifting. My 2010...
I say go with the GTR. Ive had 6 vipers including a couple SC beasts. The GTR should fit your bill well. And to be honest, in the real world will be faster than most any viper up to about 100 mph. Ive got $5k of mods on my 2010 GTR and it runs 10.80s at 130 mph religiously. Plus its easy as...
Can someone tell me a little about the Mopar off road ECU controller for an 08. Can currently has belanger headers and cat back. Is the controller a stand alone new computer or does it upload to the existing ECU>?
Where to purchase?
Est cost?
Easy to install?
Picked up an 08 Viper w/ bellanger headers and catless exhaust. Rear O2s are not connected setting off a CEL. Dont think there is a port on modded exhaust for them.
Do rear O2 sensors have any effect on performance or only indicate a CAT issue?
Is there a place to pick up O2 sensor simms...
Anybody think that reverting back to the OEM clutch from the current SPEC twin disk setup will improve driveability? Ive never driven a stock 08. The SPEC in the car now is probably great for racing but tough to live with on a daily basis.
Dealer listed it as a SPEC twin disk clutch and it is def aftermarket. I havent driven an 08 yet, but I cant imagine an OEM clutch going out to the public like that. Its not insane or anything, just gonna take alot of getting used to. Embarrassed that I stalled it out 3x in my driveway...
Dont know why stocker was switched out. Car dynod at 601 rwhp w/ mods and maybe they thought stock clutch wasnt up to task or maybe they burned it up, dunno. Just gonna take me a bit to get used to the engagement and abruptness of it.
Just bought an 08 Viper with headers, full exhaust, etc from a dealer who listed but was unable to provide specifics on other mod details. Did list car with a spec twin disc clutch. This is my 6th viper and Ive never experienced a clutch with such abrubt engagement. I guess Ill get the feel...
I took off sills last winter and had repainted. Since I wasnt driving in dead of winter anyway I let sit for a month to let paint cure well and then had entire sill clearbrad. Its easier for installer to do a pristine job if you take sills to him instead of trying to apply on the car. He...
I have this system on my Paxton SRT. Actually love it but then again I tend to think a Viper is too pussified sounding stock anyways. I dont get any gas smell but w/o cats you def get the rumble backfire popping during deceleration. I would probably get annoyed with it if I drove it any...
Have a supercharged 06 SRT Viper and an 08 Lambo Gallardo Superleggera. They are completely different cars depending on your mood for the day. The Viper is brute force, loud, obnoxious, much faster, yet rough and unrefined. Still gets looks but might as well be a rolling turd next to the...
Sold my 04 SRT a while back and was doing some spring cleaning. Found the technical service manual I bought when I originally got car. Its green, about an inch and a half thick, paperback. Think it was $150 or so, cant remember. Not worth listing in classifieds. Offer me some other...
Hey Tom, Just be glad you are OK, didnt spend the night in jail and come back to a burned out heap of plastic. Inside joke. Seriously glad you are OK.

Read your policy carefully. Remember, for the time being, all they are selling you is a piece of paper. Are you permitted to drive to work? Must it be garaged? Taken out only to car events? Is their claims dept worth a @#$%? Anyone can sell you a policy. Check to see how they have dealt...
Be patient removing the sills. All bolts except 1 are easily accessible. The one inside the sill at top front of the car, attaching it to the fender can be a bitch. It just needs to be loosened to allow the sill to slide off but not much room to work on.
Wiseasp,
Call me. You know the #. To discuss insurance issues. I believe you once told me you had Nationwide...not sure. That car is most definitely totalled.

I have 19" rear and 18" front Pilot sport runflats currently and a new set of Pirelli Pzero 355s as a replacement set. My rears are needing replacement but fronts are fine. Is it OK to have the 19" Pzeros on the back and 18" Pilots on the front or should I buy a new set of Pirelli 18" fronts...
Dans69ss,
How would you compare the 08 vs. your s/c'd 06? I have an 06 SC vert in classifieds but Im almost leaning towards just keeping it. Crazy power gets addicting and Id consider a TT car or a built up SC pkg w/ 900-1000hp.
Have a set of 19" Pzeros 355/30 I think. Im sure of the 355 but have to look at the aspect again ....might be a 25. Anyways, anyone have any experience with these tires. Have a supercharged SRT and the runflats arent cutting it. Im spinning them at 60 mph. Granted thats on a cold road but...
Try your local yocal garage and see if you can pay their mechanics a few bucks to come out and give you a hand. Thats what I did in Southern MD here and worked great.
I have a mint set of 19" HRE 545s with Pilot Sports mounted. Maybe 2-3k miles, full polish finish. Taking up space and gathering dust in my garage. Make me an offer.
