All right, was bored and did a search on YouTube and found these videos of the Gen 5 testing/driving on I-70 in Colorado.

I've seen posts on what Corvette guys think about the new Viper. Just thought i would share what the Ferrari's guy in the new F12 section think of the new Viper aesthetically speaking..."F12 vs Viper".

The consensus prefer the Ferrari...
Keep my Gen 2 and hopefully add a either a new GTS coupe or SRT Viper in a year or two. Need to see more pics of the "base" Viper before i can decide between the GTS or the SRT version.
i gotta say, if you want a bit of ferrari, aston martin and sophistication in your viper then here it is. personally for me, looking at the gen V, it looks like an updated version of what the gen 2 should be or should've been from the get go (no disrespect to the gen 3 as it's aggressive...
Thank you gbatejan, for your insight. Just used the scanner and don't know what these mean as far as whether i'll pass the emission test or not, but a few of the readings are
"Catalyst Mon - OK"
"Htd Catalyst - N/A"
"Oxygen Sens Mon - OK"
"Oxygen Sens Htr - OK"
"EGR System Mon - N/A"...
I plan on taking my car in for its first emission test (the first time they gave me a waiver b/c the car was low) and it has a Paxton with an SCT tune (other mods include high flow exhaust and headers). My question is should i reprogram the tune back to stock for the test or does it not matter...
My car had an alignment done at Reeds Brother Dodge in Rockville when they were still a Dodge dealer. And not sure if this is of any help, but i did a search a while back and someone mentioned a Mr. Tire in Pasadena.
Can anyone recommend a reputable alignment shop for a Viper in the Metro DC area? I'm in Montgomery County, Maryland.
I hit a curb and right rear tire went flat and now steering/alignment is off.
Thank you.
I drive my Viper everyday (unless i'm riding my motorcycle), but i'm very discriminate as to where i take my car to and park. For instance, i hardly take my Viper when i go out for dinner or to the movies, since i would be too paranoid to enjoy the meal or the movie. The key is when and where...
Thanks for sharing the pictures. Hopefully someone will post your additional pictures. Drove to Omaha from DC in late May with the Viper, you guys have great open roads.
Well, just got back from my Paxton install at Woodhouse and the results are 570 TQ and 647 HP at the crank (dyno'd on a Mustang dyno).
What does everyone think? Is that on par with the basic Paxton kit with a SCT tune?
The mods that the car had prior to the installation were exhaust and...
I just want to take the opportunity to thank Mark, Fred Ragle and Aaron Guerreiro for their work on my car. I was one of the forum members who took Mark's "deal of the summer" offer. As soon as Mark announced the offer, the contact was made and two weeks later, me and my wonderful girlfriend...
Mark, what's the turn around time to have it done? I'm asking because if it only takes a few days, i might just drive from Md to Neb and hang out there. And the out the door price for a generation 2 is listed as your original post? I have a 2002 with headers and exhaust. Thanks.
