The recent actions of our national leadership disgusts me. I saw the writing on the wall back in early 2011 when they began their power grab but I hoped for the best.
I will not be renewing my membership. I will not continue to support the current regime with my membership dues. I realize...
Bought a used set of Forgeline 18" ZX3 race wheels for my Gen4 ACR but the offset on the rears are for a Comp Coupe. Anyone have a set of rear wheel halves with the proper offset for a Gen4 for sale or trade????
I've been wanting to do this for quite a while and finally got around to it yesterday. Wish I would have done it when the car only had 1000 miles on it. Even so, these are the best results of any engine I've ever tested. Curious to hear from other Gen 4 owners who have done this test...
What a fantastic weekend! It was my first time at RA as a driver and it was everything and more than I expected. I ran in the USTTC (time trials) group. We had 17 competitors on Saturday and 16 on Sunday. We also had cars from the HPDE Solo classes in our run group which made things...

From last Monday with the Suburban Corvette Club of Minnesota at BIR. Knocked over 2 seconds of my previous best lap time on the 3.1 mile course. 165 mph down the front straight and 143 mph around turn 1. :omg:
We had a very good showing of Vipers. Five showed up and four made it on the...
I bought my '09 coupe new in Feb. '09. I really wanted an ACR but the price made it too good of a deal to pass up. I figured I could add all the bits and pieces as time went on. I started with the brakes and suspension right off the bat but waited patiently for the aero bits. Well the wait...
For helping me transform my coupe from this:
To this:
Jon supplied me with the ACR-X wing and the ACR wheels. There were a couple snafus with the wheels but Jon took care of them no questions asked. Top notch customer service! Partsrack should borrow the famous line from the...
I was looking at Vipers on fleabay and came across a salvaged '09 ACR that sustained a front end impact. Seller claims the airbags did not deploy but the force of the impact caused the wing to break off. Is that possible??
...birds! This is the third bird kill in as many weeks. Bagged this ~20 lb turkey this morning on the way to Cars & Coffee. The license plate and clear bra took the brunt of the damage.
A few weekends ago on the track:
Doing a tranny fluid change on my '09. I got 3.6L out but only was able to put 3.2L in before it started running out the fill hole.
Anyone know what the fluid capacity is? I want to make sure I have it properly filled.
What a spectacle this event is. This is my first time attending. Was pretty busy getting the car ready but did meet fellow VCA member Ronne Kooser from Kansas City with his beautiful Very Viper Orange/Black stripe '08 Coupe. Only managed to get a few pics but will take more today as well as...
Installed one on the front last night. Seems like it needs to be an inch longer. At full lock the line is stretched very tight. Installed with fittings at the best angle while not letting line touch the a-arm. Compared it to stock line and it appears to be the same length. Sure seems tight...
If someone from say Australia brings a car to the US to attend an event like VOI, what do they do for insurance? Is there anything available here that they can buy to cover the time the vehicle is in the US?
This is in the current (March) issue. It's the follow up feature to this story which was in the January issue:
Real Street Eliminator - RSE Returns At The 2009 CC Summer Nationals - Car Craft Magazine
As well as '09 Hurst Challenger serial number 1. It was a lot of fun. The competition was in July but I didn't know I won until October. The story is in the January 2010 issue and it's on news stands now! Here are a few snippets from the story:
Thought I had already posted these. This was from an open track day at Brainerd International Raceway (B.I.R.) in Brainerd, Minnesota on 9-14-09. A handful of members from the Minnesota Viper Club joined the Suburban Corvette Club of Minnesota for their open track day/driver's school. We ran the...
