The drivers side wiper on my 2006 Coupe swings past the windshield and sort of flops around at it's full swing point. Looking at the wiper arms I noticed there are two types, one has a higher rise than the other where the arms mount to the wiper shaft. The dirivers side wiper is the lower one...
It's been years since I used an oil filter relocate kit, but just see Summit or Jegs for a high performance one. The oil is pressurized through the filter so it may have smaller holes than you might expect. 1/2" NPT seems to be the most common size. This is one cool project!!!
belt slip wouldn't cause that big lean condition by itself. Are you lifiting between shifts and then getting back hard on the throttle? Maybe it's a tip in issue.
Hmm, I can't view that thread. Is the Gen 4 PCM similar to the new Challenger PCM? A team at work is working on that one right now. Reflash security is pretty tight on that PCM, but I think we can figure it out.
I'm making 725rwhp on a stock block with boost, not squeeze, but the stress should be about the same. I bought the car used so I don't know if the fuel system was upgraded or not.
LOL, the road I live off of sometimes pulls the Viper into the other lane if I don't correct it :) My other favorite road, International Bvld heading into Daytona is getting repaved now so maybe it won't beat you death in a Viper.
487rwhp stock is good!! I hate BHP ratings because they don't tell you as much as rwhp. I never dyno'ed my stock Viper but someone has I'm sure. i thought the viper was also round 450rwhp. With my job you'd think I would know these things :) I almost never make it back to the dyno room any more :(
After stopping on the side of the highway to deal with a sunglasses issue I finally ran the new Viper up through 3rd gear shifting around 5800. Wow!! This thing just keeps pulling harder and harder as the rpms climb. Now it's time to set the boost controller on high and do it again :) I think I...
does anyone know if Ford includes the HP to spin the blower in their BHP calcs? 650 may only be 450 or so at the wheels. I can't remember what previous GT500's made.
I like the shiny ACR black better, but I don't really like the offset stripe. I can't remember if the mamba has a wing or not, but it certainly will need one!!
a quick look at some pictures of the engine shows a pretty small blower pulley already. It might take a larger crank pulley to boost the boost. One of my friends older Shelby makes 700rwhp with an aftermarket supercharger, so the new GT500 should be really awesome. I hope it's as good as the 03...
I've wanted a Viper since they first came out!! I didn't get one until 2007 and now I'm on my second one!! My other "dream" car is a Ford GT but every time I start to buy one I end up buying a Viper instead :)
I belong to an RC club that gets to use an obsolete runway at the local airport as a flying field. The local SCCA club uses it too for their races every three months. I took the Viper over this morning and had to wring it out a bit. After several donuts and long wheel spinning slides I couldn't...
Very nice!! Congratz on your new ride!! I just one less than two weeks ago and I'm still excited myself!! The big question is does your wife actually get to drive it? My wife drives mine, badly :)
55K? That's not too bad at all, and the HP should be as easy to upgrade as other blown Mustangs have been. Hopefully we will get one of these to play with as soon as they are available, and the PCMs aren't some strange new type
My son wants to get rid of his Challenger because it's a POS. 2008...
a real chemist would use expoxy instead of cyano :) Epoxy is cool stuff!!
I drive my Viper. If it gets dirty, it gets washed. If it rains, it needs wipers. It's not a daily driver but maybe every 2-3 days instead.
I just bought a sight unseen car myself. I took a couple of risks but got exactly what I paid for, except shipping which was not the sellers fault but mine. Get the seller to agree to take the car back if it's not in the condition advertised. You can negotiate who pays shipping in that case to...
I really want to switch my insurance to a stated value policy since I'll lose 25k to 50k in a total loss accident right now. State Farm won't do a stated value. Who are you guys using?
State farm here. Not bad when I had a total loss of a Viper last year, but the buyout price was about 5000 less than I thought it should be. My new Viper is also insured with State Farm right now but I'll be changing to a stated value policy in the next week or two.
Is it still possible to get the 06 aero package wing from Dodge, or should I just get a VipAir wing? The car already has an 08 hood so keeping everything "original" isn't a necessity.
