    Gilmour Foamaster - Revisited

This is exactly right. It depends on the soap you're using. A thick soap will not work well by itself, more foam will be produced when water is added in the container.

Clay Bars -- should you re-use?

If it stays pretty clean, then you can reuse it. But like others said, they are cheap so if you are in doubt then just toss it. I usually toss mine after using it on a clients car, but not my personal cars as they are much cleaner.

    fine swirl scratches

There are also different grades of clay bars. Buy a gentle one and you shouldnt get marring. It also depends on the car you're working on. A car with a soft clear will marr easier then a car with a hard clear. If you DONT clay the car and it needs it, then when you polish you will just be...

    fine swirl scratches

Adams pretty much= CG. Ive used the CG diamond cut before and didnt like it at all. Dusts a lot and didnt finish nice. Doesnt compare to Menzerna at all.

    fine swirl scratches

Dawn is alkaline, not acidic. The stuff from Slick's Performance looks exactly like Chemical Guys. If you want to properly remove swirls and imperfections then you need a good polish. Menzerna continues to beat out all others. For Dodge clear, Id go with SIP then finish off with 106FF. After...

    Zaino shelf life.

Usually Id say as long as it hasn't froze, it should be fine. But 4 years is a pretty long time. Im going to guess that it might be alright to use, but Id call Zaino, dont take my word for it.

    Adams

Yes you should. You really should have some kind of machine if you want to keep a finish perfect.

If you're willing to spend time removing imperfections from your paint, then I highly recommend getting some Menzerna polishes. Specifically Super Intensive Polish and 106FF. After you remove the imperfections, THEN you can apply your wax and or sealant.

    Waxing your ride.

Zaino is a sealant, not a wax, so they really shouldnt be compared. IMO, Zaino gives a very plastic look to the paint. Sure it shines, but does not have any depth or wetness to it. Carnauba gives the paint depth and wetness, but obviously will not last as long as a sealant. What I recommend to...

    Vacuming

Basically all you have to do is use a wet/ dry vac with an attachment. Go down one way, then go up the opposite way. If the carpet is a little wet then it does a better job.

    Favorite Detailer?

Not real big on quick detailers. Duragloss #921 leaves the surface very slick. CG Synthetic Detailer, FK 425, and Clearkote Quickshine have gotten good reviews. Personally, I like to either rewax the car after washing, or go over it with Souveran Spray. Or even both! Now if you're talking...

Maybe try some Leather Master strong cleaner. Safe for coated and non coated leather, but not nubuck.

    What's safe for clearcoated wheels?

Try P21S wheel gel. Its safe on every wheel, but its a strong cleaner. If that doesnt work, then you can try Poorboys Spray and Rinse. Its an extremely strong acid based cleaner and should be used with care. Or, after the P21S, you can try clay bar and Klasse AIO. Klasse AIO is a chemical...
