Thanks for the input, agentf1. I'll sleep on it for a few nights but it might be time I take some detailed photos of this pristine car and put it up for sale. So if you're in the market for a low mileage '96 GTS, stay tuned.
I'm not in any hurry to sell but if the right offer came along I probably wouldn't pass it up. Since purchasing the car I've gotten married and have had two kiddos - that's the only reason why I'm contemplating selling, just too little time to fully enjoy it. The car is stored in a temperature...
What have 1996 GTS's been selling for lately? I've been out of the loop for awhile and I am contemplating selling my 99% original 1996 GTS w/ ~3,800 miles.
-Replaced the fuel pump with an OEM replacement from JonB (original fuel pump went out on me)
-Replaced the spark plug wires
-Replaced the...
This is a better picture of the (same) Woodhouse viper posted above ;)
There are also more pictures under the 2009 SRT-10 coupe section in the media gallery.
Wow, looks like a fun event! We have about two decent car shows where I live an that's about it. The rest are kind of blah. Thanks for the information!
Not trying to hijack the op...
What's this "young guns" display you speak of? Picked up my first (and only so far) viper at 23 and just turned 25 in March.
Gift to myself for obtaining a degree in engineering and landing that nice job that comes with it.
I have my viper insured through state farm and have a policy where I drive less than 7,500 miles annually. Total cost is approx $50/mth for $500 deductable full coverage. Not too bad considering I'm a single 25yo male.
I placed an order with both Pakshak.com and Dftowels.com back in mid-January. I am very satisfied with the towels I received from Pakshak. I ordered the thickest Microfiber towel they offer and it works great!
As for the order from dftowels.com I cannot comment on since I still have not...
Thanks everyone! My car made it up to woodhouse safe and sound (was pretty icy here in the midwest). Talked to Mark and everything checked out perfectly (he's on vacation for the holidays yet he's still making calls and answering all my questions; talk about great service!!). While it's up...
I've heard mixed numbers on how many were produced for 2009. It is either 20 or 30. Pretty limited either way.
Maybe someone here can confirm the numbers for 2009 SSG cars?
No it's not you. Could be from starting up the car for the first time in a month or so in 10 degree weather or possibly just the way the flash made it appear in the dark?
Edit: Definitely didn't look blue in the daylight or in person though.
I took my car over to their house so Woodhouse can load it up on the trailer that brought the new car, take it to Nebraska and perform the frame recall on it.
I just replaced the fuel pump in my '96 GTS. It had the same symptoms that you listed; car will crank but for a long time before starting. This is due to a faulty check valve in the fuel pump. After replacing the fuel pump my car starts quickly with no issues.
Oh and before I forget, thank...
