    3.55's... 3.54's... Which is it???

You would only need the bolt "collars" to run this with a 7/16" bolt differential. No drilling or machining necessary.

    3.55's... 3.54's... Which is it???

The only practical difference is going to be the ring gear bolt size. 3/8 or 7/16. ABS and pinion seal design have nothing to do with the design of the ring and pinion. By "collars" they may be referring to the spacers I mentioned before used with 3/8" bolt ring gears and 7/16" differentials.

If the Dana 44HD is what they're calling the Viper's gearset, you'll be fine. They'll go right in. Regarding the Dana 60 ring and pinion, you misunderstood my explanation. The Viper's Dana 44 only shares the Dana 60's pinion shaft size and spline size. Dana 60 parts won't fit. (Except for the...

    3.55's... 3.54's... Which is it???

The Viper "Super44" diff is unique to Vipers and certain Corvettes in that the pinion shank, bearings, and pinion spline is actually the size of a Dana 60. The pinion gear and ring gear are standard D44 dimensions. A hybrid, if you will. Regular old Dana 44 gears can be installed, however a...

    Streetracing....why?

Q: When did the first street race occur? A: As soon as the second car was built. I agree with plumnuts. Street racing is more fun, as long as you're safe about it. Street racing as we know it has been tarnished by movies like 2 Retarded 2 be Furious, which has everyone with a loud tailpipe...
