    I brought a '98 across a few years back and you don't need the latches. It's a generic form that they use and that particular piece does not apply for this car. I got around it.

    Well, I soaked it last night with penetrating lube, will soak it again when I get home from work and give it a whirl. I guess my biggest thing is, I just don't understand how the fuel line "locks" on to the filter? Does it snap over the lip with an o-ring? I guess a better understanding of...

    Great pictures and great read. I am doing something very similar this Wednesday (June 17). My trek starts in Regina, SK and pit stops will be: Minneapolis, Kansas City, Memphis, Atlanta, St.Louis and back up. Congrats on the vehicle.
