Awesome guys! Good luck, bury the Vette and then the LFA! Bernie and Ben must be doing things right to cut 7 seconds off their previous time at the Ring! They really know those cars!:)
Correct! Have the dealer clear TEC (Tooth Error Correction) and do an on road re-learn. Accelerate to about 4000 rpm in 2nd gear and then off throttle decel to 2000 rpm. My guess is that will clear up your problem.
Dan,
Here's what the service manual lists:
-Thermostat Housing = 8 N-m
-Throttle Bodies = 11 N-m
-Rear Main Seal Cover = 12 N-m pan to cover, 11 N-m cover to block
-Intake Manifold Top/Bottom = 12 N-m
-Intake Manifold to Head = 13 N-m
-Valve Cover = 11 N-m
-Coils to Valve Cover = 5...
It will work on '09 and '10's - for a while but eventually you will get a check engine light (but it will of course continue to eliminate the skip shift). It takes six failed skip shifts to set the code so if you drive through the skip anyway it could take a quite a while! It will be the same...
A flashing CEL means only one thing - you limped out for misfire detection which was probably your problem all along. It is not a specific issue of concern for others or an altitude specific problem. The misfire condition will reset after every key cycle (needs to be off for a few seconds) so...
First, I would question the people that gave you this information. On the Venom, the baro pressure sensor is on the circuit board of the module and it updates all the time - doesn't matter if you are at WOT or anywhere else. So, you can't change or "relearn" the baro sensor or reading by doing...
Could you have damaged the switch in the outside door handle when you removed the panel? You could have just the passenger door "locked" which would explain why the door will not open from the outside (out of sync if you will). As I recall the "door locked" display flashes in the cluster when...
Why would Chrysler cover that under warranty? If you don't track your car with slicks you don't need the solid shafts anyway. Besides, the hollow shafts are 3 lbs lighter and have less rotational inertia.
That blonde chick was none other than Tammy Allen, the same blonde that paid $275k for the Hurst Viper at the auction last year. Seems like if she decides she wants something price is not much of a consideration. It was the 3rd or 4th car she has bought thus far at this auction so seems like...
I shopped around and ended up with a 22' x 8.5' United Expressline slant nose that I'm very happy with. I liked all of its features including the fact that its only 6' tall inside so it has a lower profile for towing. The right side door fold upwards and is extra large at 72" wide (sorry, Z28...
Everything I have heard about Sergio is that he does get it and believes strongly in performance cars and image. I think you guys are getting worked up over more exaggearted press gossip. Chrysler is in good hands (for a change) with Sergio and Fiat and Dodge and Viper are in great hands with...
WOW! Had a great time today Zach, great turn out and the weather even cooperated (didn't have to get my baby wet)! Kudos to you for organizing the route and the stops, I know it's a lot of work - well done. Thanks to all the folks at Arrow Racing Engines, a very nice facility for anything Viper...
Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to answer some questions, hope the pizza is great (I just finished my Lobster dinner while on vacation in Maine)! I’ve read some posts lately where some 2008/2009 owners are not seeing any power improvements with the Mopar Controller. Can you comment on this...
Looks like an overwhelming response here...I signed up today, this will be my first Mopar Nationals and Regional Rendezvous. Looks like we will have the Viper area to ourselves Shelby! I’ll be heading down on Friday morning, see you there.
