What plugs would you recommend for a 150 shot of nitrous on a 2001 with a 710 cam and champion heads from Roe Racing? The car currently has stock plugs, would a colder heat range be a better/ safer plug?
I recently moved back to Northern Florida after living up north for a few years. I'm interested in getting back into the Viper events here. This is the first I've seen posted. How many are attending?
I've ran the ECS restrictor plate in the past on my vette. It does what Andy states above. The restrictor is basically a very large washer that sets between the filter and SC inlet. It effectivly reduces the unside diameter of the intake tube. At lower airflow amounts it doesn't restrict...
You can also look at the tune. Unless both are dialed to the same timing and AFR you are not comparing things on an even playing field. There are a lot of variables in a tune....
The added weight of the Viper doesn't help at all....
Cool, hope you make it. Save the all out run for at least a few trips down th track. If you hit an 8 on steet tires on the first run the rest of us might get a little depressed with our cars and start drinking.....
Your time will all depend on the tires hooking up....
Looks like I'm only taking one car up (Vette). I'm thinking about trailering it to the track, not sure I want to drive that far with my cheater slicks and skinny fronts on. What time do you plan on heading out?
I might want to hit...
Tidewater Racing Forum is setting up a private 1/4 mile track rental at VMP on 11/19. This is a great opportunity to try your hand at the drag strip without all the pressures of a regular track event. The rental is currently limited to 20 cars and the track is rented from 9am to 5pm. That is...
That exercise bike was defiantly an antique model, they don't make them like that anymore. I would have paid the $5 for it if I wasn't worried about scratching the Viper's paint strapping it to the top.
I doubt I'll leave the Viper alone for another year without modding it a little (or a lot) more. I haven't done any power mods for over a year. Both of you are going to have to step it up to catch me in the HP for next year. ;)
Even though I only won by about 10-15 hp this year :D
Anyone remember how many total HP the vipers or vettes had last year?
This competition is just limited to the VCA and Corvette Club of Richmond for HP competition correct?
I figured it was something like that. To bad the looks don't match the power (all show and no go):) You do have a pretty car though.
I plan on going again this year, I'm shooting for best Gen 3 from the judges.
