    With prices on used Vipers so low, why bother with a Flood vehicle unless it is stupid cheap. In NJ you will end up with a branded F title after you get the car inspected and it is shown to be up to spec. Dealers wont take it on trade and private people tend to walk unless it will be a track...

    Ill tell you what the problem was... he had his passenger side mirror reversed and blinded the car pulling out...... Sorry..... Hope he fully recovers. These are cars that dont have the gadgets to drive themselves and sometimes bites both the experienced and inexperienced driver.

    thanks for the replies, I logged off before I saw the question. The newer Z and ZR1 cars have a larger capacity oil tank, and another help is to replace the pan with one from the aftermarket. A true race setup was described above.

    There is a difference between the Z06 dry sump and a true race dry sump. There have also been oil starvation with that stock set up.

    If cash wasn't the problem, would you give up your GTS/RT for a SRT-10?

    GTS is classic Viper. I know that the RT/10 is the origional viper, but the timeless design of a coupe is unbeatable. I went for a Gen 4 coupe, just enough DNA in looks and 600hp with a warranty. But I was coming from a Z06 and wanted a new car to break in myself.

    If you bought it used, pay and get it at a private inspection station. Just use a little double sided tape and take it off afterward.
