The Forgeline wheels I bought last year are very close in design, except that he did a stripe, whereas I painted the entire lip...and I'm in satin black instead of gloss. VVO rocks!
Thanks - It was done in aluminum...I would love to have done stainless, but it was like 10X the price and not worth the differnce...and I used a good 70 4x8 sheets...
Stainless would have cost about 70k for the materials and has a nasty tendency towards marking and scratching - just from...
Cabin heat's not an issue...but the Z makes a much better DD. If I had to choose, it'd be the Z, but the Viper's in a class by itself. It does everything the Z does, but better braking /handling and road feel, not to mention the ear to ear grin when you get in one. Comfort wise, there's is no...
Thanks and yes, indeed they are - checkerplate composite too.
Cellphones, alarm remotes work perfectly in there, or passing through there to the RF receivers located beyond those walls, although I don't know why. There must be a millimeter of uncovered wall I can't see - LOL. What doesn't...
They come on automatically when you turn the key if you do it as I show below. If you prefer that they only come on when you turn the lights on, you'd have to wire it so that pin 85 gets a 12-volt feed from both the low and high beams, using diodes on each feed to isolate them (1N4001 diode...
I added a relay off the true ignition wire to keep the fogs on at all times in my Gen IV. Took an hour and works perfectly. Relay and socket was about 5 bucks. I also installed 4100k HID's in my fogs...so they are around the same color as the low beams.
My 25000HD Duramax does 12 in the city all day long - my 08 Viper gets a good 15 city if not more...and 23 highway easy. No way can a Viper suck more gas than a lifted and moddded Duramax weighing almost twice as much.
Most if not all FGT/Viper owners don't share your opinion, in fact quite the contrary from everything I've read, but then, you have both and are in a position to at least voice your opinion from an actual standpoint.
Salvage title - is salvage title, not "rebuilt" title. Show me a "salvage" title original A/C Cobra or Hemi Cuda selling for big money on the block. Could be a perfect car, but with salvage title, it will never be worth the big bucks that a potential high value collectible will be. Given that...
It means you will NEVER sell it for any real money - EVER. It may be perfectly fine if you're planning to keep it forever and just drive it. I'm in the process of acquiring one now...and there are (quite) a few out there with salvage title, but getting into the 120+k range, which when compared...
Agreed - they really have only dropped in value. Some of the other cars listed on that list have not only held value, but have increased dramatically as well...like the F40 and the Enzo. They also list the ZR1 as a collectible, which may well be, but IMO, will also drop in value as well.
The...
Thanks for the replies -- I may consider moving up to a 355 rear end before contemplating further mods. I know it's very tall gearing and quite sluggish at low RPM's when I compare to my Z06. I guess what I'm looking for more than power, is better response, which I know I'll get with shorter...
Higher octane = less power. Unless you have a specific need for a higher octane gas, like a detonation problem....you're wasting money and losing power. Do the research - some of the top race gasolines are only 87...
Trade it in for a Z06 with a modded factory exhaust. That will solve your issue. My Viper sounds like my 2500 Duramax. My Z sounds like a real American muscle car.:rolaugh:
I used my Dewalt cordless last winter - took like 30 seconds to do all 4 screws, but even without sleep mode engaged and no trickle charger, my battery can sit connected and idle for a good 3 months during winter, while maintaining a strong enough charge to start right up.
Actually - I specifically DIDN'T buy from Jordan directly, just because of those issues. I bought them from a very reputable vendor on Corvette Forums - Wheels Boutique, because I was still wary of the issues - and Jon @ W/B worked with me to ensure a perfect transaction. His rep is...
