Today I was fortunate enough to test drive an 08 vert via a courteous local broker. Of course it wasn't enough seat time to really get to know the car so I'd like to ask a few questions to gen4 owners regarding my observations on this particular car, which had 9700 miles on the odometer:

Guys, my OP was just a frustration rant over the fact that I spotted 3 different low milage black 08 viper verts in the past week or so for $ 55.6K, $59.9K & $63K which is highly unusual and enough to make me buy either of the first two on the spot if they were as described and at least check...
I've been lusting after a used Gen 4 Viper vert for some time now, it's kind of become a hobby in itself. It's now part of my computer ritual to hit the classifieds here before I go to the forum. Since my current auto fun budget is somewhere not north of 60K, it ain't easy to find a nice low...
Think very hard about pulling a gun in anything but a true life and death situation. Claiming you feared for your life might not cut it with the DA. I have a concealed weapon permit for my state ( Fl ) and one of the first things you learn is not to pull a gun to settle an arguement. This is...
Rudedawg....You have a PM. Thanks, Ken
Gents:
I ran that vin through my Autocheck a couple days ago and it came out clean with a 94 score, no indication of ANYTHING wrong. Then I called the dealer and he sounded a little tired when he told me it was a flood car, like he was tired of...
This formula aint working for me right now. I'd like to get a Slate Grey 06 vert for low $40's but it seems they and most other 06's are no lower than $48K on the usual sites. Likewise no low mile decent 05's available close to 40K, ar least not within my driving range.
BTW, I did a 24 hr...
That's what I'm expecting, and I have a question for you ( or anybody else who cares to answer )
Quite a few comments in this post about accidentally hitting 3rd gear with the Viper, So I take it to mean the Viper shifter lacks the pretty much foolproof spring loaded guidance 3rd & 4th gear on...
Thanks for the replys, which seem to indicate things aren't as bad as a Viper newb reading the forums might think. My internal acceleration guage- that feeling that all the blood is being forced to the back of the brain during acceleration, is so warped by my motorcycle experience that the Z06...
I really want a Gen3/4 Viper, but all this Forum talk about the rear coming around with application of power is making me wonder if the power is usable. I have a grasp of the concept since I bought an 08 Z06 and now that it's broken in I do find on some occasions I have to let up on full...
Yes, since I am interested in a Gen4 I was hoping the tranny problems reported with the Corvette was due to the Vette's completely different application requirements. I know also some tried lube changes with mixed results. Word is that GM is ducking the issue in a lot of cases.
I see a few...
It's common knowledge over on the Z06 Forum that the 6060 can be very notchy, especially when cold and some even when warmed up. Many feel it's a flaw in the tranny. It is my only real complaint on my 2008 Z06 and I'd be unhappy to have the same problems if I go with a Gen 4 Viper.
Anyone...
Congrats, I hope to follow your example soon, looking for a good one is a lot of fun and for me buying used is almost more gratifying than buying new ( if I get a good one ) because it gives me a chance to fix little things and make it better than it was before.
I couldn't drive a stick when I...
But I wanted a vert.
Top down on starry nights, infinite headroom, warm ( 90-96 degree ) Florida air through my remaining hair during summer days..
Can't get that in a coupe.
